A case that challenges President-elect Barack Obama’s name on the 2008 election ballot citing questions over his citizenship has been scheduled for a “conference” at the U.S. Supreme Court.

Conferences are private meetings of the justices at which they review cases and decide which ones to accept for formal review. This case is set for a conference Dec. 5, just 10 days before the Electoral College is scheduled to meet to make formal the election of Obama as the nation’s next president.

The Supreme Court’s website listed the date for the case brought by Leo C. Donofrio against Nina Wells, the secretary of state in New Jersey, over not only Obama’s name on the 2008 election ballot but those of two others, Sen. John McCain and Roger Calero.

Over the last week I have seen 2 basic reactions to this from the dems at work. The most noticeable is anger. A few guys snap at the mere mention of the birth certificate issue. That is a small minority. The other is a creeping anxiety. They are getting a oogy feeling at how Obama has acted over the entire situation. One dem guy timidly admitted that Obama is not acting like an innocent man.

So, you don’t care, but there are at least 17 lawsuits regarding this right now around the country. These are citizens of the United States who are acting on behalf of all of us (maybe not you) to know the truth about who this Obama is (if that is even his legal name).

Please stop sayng this is going nowhere. This is a constitutional matter and is serious.

If obama is not a natural born citizen, it is unconstitutional for him to be president.

If that doesn’t matter to you, then throw out the whole Constitution with it. If the President and CIC is not even qualified to be in the position, how can he swear to uphold the Constitution?

It is a total disregard of the Constitution, and a major step toward it being scrapped by factions within our country.

A detroit radio station called the Kenyan embassy after the election of Obama. After a lot of trouble they get through to the ambassador of Kenya.

The ambassador of Kenya says that obama was born in Kenya and that his birth place has become a national shrine.

It can be reasonably pointed out that the DJ was trying to entrap the Ambassador and that the Ambassador fell into his trap. However, if you’ll notice he used the same strategy on two different occasions and the ambassador gently brushed him off. First, he tried to force the ambassador to sing the Kenyan national anthem. The ambassador referred him to the kenyan website. Second he tried to push the ambassador into saying something about maybe Kenya becoming the 51st state. Again the ambassador said that Kenya was a sovereign country. ie No. He used the same technique on the question of Obama’s birth place. This time the ambassador said yes. Because the ambassador answered no in the two previous examples -- you can't say that the ambassdor was either a fool or ill advised.

The Arnold would have run for president long ago and likely won if he were a "natural born" american. He's not. He's naturalized. So he can't run. And he knows it. (though there were some trial balloons sent up a couple years back about changing the law.)

Like the Arnold, Obama looks to be a naturalized citizen--but maybe he's not even that.

Why are you so concerned, about how this makes someone else look, NCB? Go back through the archives, and just take a look at how many "conspiracy theories" have been hashed through for months, or even years, on FR, and how many have proved to have some basis in fact that has had a real effect in the world. Bill Clinton's impeachment and Dan Rather's downfall both can be attributed in some way to efforts on FR.

If you don't like it, ignore it. If you're right, it'll all go away eventually. If you're wrong, you should be grateful that someone is willing to endure abuse to get at the truth.

Do you really want a president with genuinely divided loyalties running this country? He's gone to Kenya and actively campaigned for an avowed Marxist relative of his, speaking of that divided loyalty. Riots ensued after Obama's cousin Odinga lost, with about 1,500 dead if I recall correctly. Look into the religious angle of that, too, if you want to acquire further understanding.

Even if Obama is found to be a citizen of Kenya or Indonesia or Uranus nothing will happen. The left will litigate and a squadron of Dem lawyers will prove that a hanging chad on a birth certificate proves that Obama's mother intended on giving birth in America. After all, she had a plane ticket in her possession.

Years from now, this will be call the Obama rule: You can be an American citizen so long as you came to America within 60 days of your birth anywhere in the world. The corollary to this rule will delight the pro-choice gang. Figure it out for yourselves....

If Obama is a citizen of Kenya or Indonesia, he cannot become president because it will let every person whose second citizenship is U.S. run for U.S. president. There are hundreds of thousands of these folks.

I am saying this on the basis that Obama was not a U.S. citizen at the time of his birth but became one several years later.

How about George Soros whose real name is Gyorgy Schwartz? He became a U.S. citizen in the 60s.
