A Pardon to Remember
NYT ^ | November 22, 2008 | GEORGE LARDNER Jr.

WHEN President Bill Clinton pardoned a billionaire fugitive from justice on his last day in office, even usually loyal Democrats were dismayed. Representative Henry Waxman of California called it “bad precedent” and “an end run around the judicial process.” He said it appeared to set a double standard for the wealthy and powerful.

The billionaire was Marc Rich, a commodities trader, and his pardon is a subject of discussion again because Eric Holder, Mr. Clinton’s deputy attorney general at the time[.]

Remarkable Op-ed in the New York Times on Holder's Disgraceful Role in the Rich Pardon   [Andy McCarthy--NRO-The Corner]

Remarkable because the Times actually published the piece by George Lardner Jr. (who covered the story back when for the Washington Post).  In its just-the-facts-ma'am way, it is a stinging rebuke — and strongly suggests Obama's AG selection gave grossly misleading testimony to Congress about his role.

GWB should pardon Scooter Libby, the two Mexican-American immigration agents, and any other conservative who has been railroaded by out-of-control Democrat-worshiping DA’s.

Time to stop playing by the Queen of Marquesbury rules.

Prosecute and/or go after people like that idiot DA in Texas who just “indicted” VP Cheney and Alberto Gonzales on bogus charges.

After all, the devastation the GOP suffered in 2006 and 2008 can be directly linked to President Bush’s refusal in year 2000 to fire every stinkin’ Democrat in the federal government.

CIA leaks, bogus prosecutions of Libby, etc.... and leaks within the Dept. of Justice. These are the things which led to GWB’s demise.

You may think nothing of your ability to put down simply on 'paper' what you think but for people like me that find it difficult to do, I admire that quality.

Time to stop playing by the Queen of Marquesbury rules.
The halls of congress are littered with republican carcasses whose throats are slit, entrails exposed and cackles of dem's laughter still echoing.
The republicans' lack of willingness to fight with appropriate tactics has brought this country to, at least, the precipice of capitalistic destruction.
Only by a Miracle of God can it now be brought back from the brink.
