'Disgusting' Bias for Obama, Time Writer Admits
Newsmax ^ | November 23, 2008 | Newsmax

Posted on 11/23/2008 3:56:05 PM PST by Jet Jaguar

The mainstream media's support for Barack Obama's presidential campaign was so biased that even major insiders are now admitting they were shocked by its depth and depravity.

Last week, Time magazine's Mark Halperin called the media's performance during the campaign simply "disgusting."

Halperin told a panel of media analysts at the Politico/USC conference on the 2008 election, "It's the most disgusting failure of people in our business since the Iraq war."

He added, "It was extreme bias, extreme pro-Obama coverage."

What? You are shocked at your own behavior? Losers have no core. They would do it all over again if given a second chance. If nothing changes nothing changes. Hope they pay for it in spades.

It certainly was not fair coverage. Lately people who don’t pay too much attention to MSM bias are saying it was too much!

They see themselves more in the role of “directors” of events rather than as reporters. And, I suppose, like in the movie business, they’ll call for a re-shoot when they see how badly they’ve screwed up?

Geeeee,,,,yathink? (rolling eyes)

Actually, that comment in itself is incredibly creme-puffed biased and 'soft-balled'.

I would think the words unbelievably outrageous and absolutely contemptible are much more appropriate and accurate.

Now that they’ve succeeded in getting Obama elected (though not until the Electoral College says he is), they’re wanting to get their reader/viewership back by saying, “oh, those other guys were sooooo biased”. Where were they DURING the election?????? It’s safe NOW. Geez, how transparent.

According to the Web site Politico, Halperin, who edits Time's political site "The Page," zeroed in on two New York Times articles near the end of the campaign that profiled both Cindy McCain and Michelle Obama.

Phony "concern" by Halperin here. The shocking bias was the fact that Ayers, Rezko, Wright, Alinsky, Davis et al were swept under the rug.

Their stock price has followed their credibility as their former readers discovered just how extensively extreme liberal bias has influenced their “journalism”. Their stock price is down from $45 five years ago to $5.34 today - and this professional journalist is only now discovering what investors and readers have been recognizing over those five years.

The media's pro-Obama media bias PALED and was nowhere near as 'disgusting'---

when compared to the media's attempt to completely destroy Sarah Palin.

Consider it a special thank you to those who back doored us with this empty suit and his trojan horse full of seedy bottomdwelling shadows.

"It's the most disgusting failure of people in our business since the Iraq war."

Absolute CRAP! He doesn't believe a word of what he said. He, like 98% of all the people who like to call themselves journalists are just giddy with the knowledge that they have the power to manipulate a national election.

Watching them go into hyper drive to boost Obama and slam Sarah Palin when they thought McCain was surging in the last ten days made it absolutely clear that they saw electing the media star as their duty.

Now their mission is to protect him and spin everything he does as positive. If he backs off on a campaign promise it will be because of his brilliance and understanding in realizing a new course of action after assessing the situation.

I think he will govern with his finger in the wind just like the first black president did and the media will portray him as a genius.

Exactly!!

Hussein was presented with the perfect scenario (with our victory in Iraq and the economic meltdown)--

so that the MSM will portray ANYTHING he does as a big positive.

The MSM will never let anyone forget about the meltdown he inherited--therefore he has the PERFECT ALIBI and EXCUSE for anything that happens in the next four years.

The MSM will let him 'do no wrong' because of that. His luck is unbelievable.

It’s always worse to hurt people who trust you. In the USSR, no one trusted Pravda. Yet in 2008, many American readers trusted their newspapers and magazines.

You let them down. You lied to them by omission. They voted without knowing an 1/8 of the facts that they would have wanted to know about Obama, even those that would have voted for him anyway. That was your job, journalists, and you all blew it.
