When Barack Obama began taking questions during today’s economic press conference, reporters quickly realized that raising one’s hand wouldn’t lead to getting called on. That's because news outlets were selected beforehand.
President-elect Obama, according to an aide, went in with “a game plan” of who to call on, time-permitting. Today, he took questions from reporters with three wire services and three major papers.
Only the Associated Press and Reuters have asked questions at both post-election briefings, the first of which was held on Nov. 7. Otherwise, it’s been a mixed bag. For instance, the NY Times got an opportunity during the first, but the not the second. The opposite can be said for the Washington Post and Wall Street Journal.

Did anyone hear Rush today talking about BO not having a thought of his own? I could not believe it, Hillary brought this up in the debates last winter! Remember he voted present because he couldn’t make a decision? I still believe he is someone’s puppet.

Think of it as a problem in economics, which is, as we all know, the science of allocation of scarce resources. And what resource is more precious, to members of the media, than the momentary attention of Obama?
The problem is, of course, it’s not physically possible for all the willing little mouths to fellate him at once. They have to alternate.
Now, one could let the reporters work it out among themselves; one could simply call on the most strident or urgent; or one (The One) could have central planning. Never much doubt as to which way Obama rolls.
It’s funny when the NYT or somebody writes, “according to reports in Libya’s state-controlled media...” I mean, what’s the difference? The so-called men and women in that room could not have been any more subservient to Obama if he owned them outright.

Well, we’ll see. Hussein certainly will keep a few of his favorites on his lap...rewarding them with exclusivity and dirt he and his millionaire friends have dug up on conservatives....
I think you’re right, a few of the die hard idealists will have their dream shattered when they realize Hussein really doesn’t give a whit about them. But I think several of the LameStream Media types will be wrapped around his finger.
They loooove the attention he’ll give them. Just like dogs. And they’ll never forget Hussein is their master.

I noticed that. He read a name off his sheet, then looked around for that reporter. It was a bit too obvious.
I never watch much of any of 0bama’s propaganda sessions, but it was apparent that people were placed strategically for the cameras. You had to look quick, but in crowds where there were really very few “whiteys” they would be placed behind 0bama so that camera shots would make it appear that he had universal appeal.
Does anyone think Hussein didn't take open questions (indeed, perhaps these were planted) because he didn't want his first national presser after the election to include a question about his birth certificate??
Not that any of the LameStream Media would even dare to aks the Messiah about his birth, but there's the one-off chance...
