My husband has a novel solution for the “problem” of California: drill 4 holes 2 miles deep, spaced 100 miles apart along the San Andreas fault. After the holes are drilled, shove a 20-kiloton nuke down each hole and detonate.

Problem solved.

Stunningly, my county (Solano) was the ONLY Bay Area county to vote in favor of Prop 8. That was most pleasant to see, though I was less pleased with the vote for Obambi. (My wife’s hairdresser is an ardent Obambi fan, though she’s a Seventh Day Adventist so I can’t even BEGIN to figure why! What could she RATIONALLY see in him besides his skin color?)
