Is a 'British Obama' Possible?
Pajamas Media ^ | November 26 | Andrew Ian Dodge

As a result of the historic election of Barack Obama in the U.S., other countries have started wondering whether a similar occurrence would be possible in their nations — none more so than the Obama-worshiping United Kingdom. Its press, race industry, and political classes are all aflutter about whether or not it would be possible for a minority to become prime minister of the country.

Many doubt that a minority could make it to 10 Downing Street any time soon.....

I thought Europe was oh-so progressive and enlightened and we were the knuckle-dragging racists.

It might not be all that long until we see Abdul or Osama (or, indeed, an “Obama”) at No. 10 Downing. There was a thread on FR today about how some barrister over there has stated that Sharia law ought to be incorporated into the common law of the UK. They certainly appear to be moving in the direction of some form of hyphenated Britain as PM.

How many women presidents have you had then?

It’s a pointless comparison anyway. The US is a nation founded on immigration where one group of immigrants have had priviledges over both the natives and the other groups of immigrants, European nations are nations of natives. Non-European inhabitants of European nations are a relatively recent phenomenon. They are not long-established and they are still a very small percentage of the population...

John Saxon. It's just a matter of time, and the gullibility of the electorate.

Some times it looks like everybody in British politics is an “Obama” — a private school grad (even though they call those schools “public schools” over there).

Is there no wonder about when a white man will make it to the presidency of Zimbabwe or South Africa? Aren’t whites the minorities there?

Pure nonsense. The English weren't ‘immigrants’, they were settlers, and there is a difference.

The reason they have had an advantage was that they created the country. Not the Irish, not the Jews, not the Germans, not the blacks, not the Italians, not the Native Americans.

And they created a country that has grown to welcome all, and has prospered by the contributions of these other groups. But they started it as Englishmen that had separated from the home islands, not a ‘multicultural’ paradise.

“..whether or not it would be possible for a minority to become prime minister of the country.”

It is not Obama’s minority status that is questioned, but his legal qualification to be POTUS. What’s wrong with the British press? Has the UK ever had a minority chairman of the general staff in their armed forces like the US had?

Not only UK, but other European countries like france, spain, portugal, Italy, Germany should talk to talk and walk to walk. You bet, they will not do it. When it comes to America, they will stand in the line to criticize it. I think, it is more to do with the socailistic agenda than Obama. If it was a jindal or Steele, they would give a damn about minority crap.
