I understand this report originated at the National Enquirer.
Prays for him and his family.
My dad died from this in about 5 months.... and it’s a very tough way to go.
I have a friend at work who had colon cancer. They took out the colon, but by then the cancer had spread to his liver. He then got a liver transplant. He is still going along now about 10 years since the procedures. So cancer in the liver is not always a death sentence, but you have to be very lucky to survive. Everyone was amazed he pulled through. We had all said our goodbyes, but it wasn’t his time.
lol...
That’s some good stuff. lol!
When the time comes...may he close his eyes in peace surrounded by his loving wife and family. He WILL be missed.
Pancreatic cancer you will not survive. Good on your friend for surviving such a state. Otherwise he would be dead. And nothing could be done...
Sorry to hear this. Prayers for him, his family, and friends...
I am so glad for your friend! What a blessing that he has continued for another 10 years with the transplant. I think with my dad it was that the liver failure really put him over the top, you know? The original sites of the eyelet cell cancer in the pancreas had actually calcified and were no longer even an issue, oddly enough, but the cancer had spread so aggressively that his poor body was ravaged. The cancer’s presence in the liver (and its subsequent failure) was kind of the last straw. After all that, he was worn out and ready to go; and we were ready to let him go, as weird as that is to say. You just wouldn’t wish that sort of suffering on anyone, let alone your dear dad, you know?
Your friend is indeed a blessed man!
God bless him, and his family.
It is Stanford. I noticed that, too.
Stamford is in Connecticut. :-)
They also do liver transplants at Stanford. FYI. Don’t know if it can help him since it’s already in the pancreas.
It's really God's choice. I know that people think they could end their life, but really the time is rarely of our choosing.
I hope Mr Swayze isn't suffering. Usually with cancer to the liver, you fall asleep as the impurities in your blood build up. Of course it could affect your ability to clot blood and you could bleed to death. With pain medication and Hospice care, I hope he finds comfort in knowing that he entertained a lot of people and that he used the gifts that God gave him as best he could.
He always seemed like a nice guy. Might have had a problem with alcohol that caused the pancreatic cancer... or just bad luck.
I always thought of Red Dawn as a "brother" movie as well as a kick a## war flick.
Thanks for that. Stanford is across the Bay from me and a truly splendid facility.
Godspeed Mr. Swayze.....
Red Dawn......I just loved that movie....
WOLVERINES!!!
sorry about your wife.....it seems cancer and in particular pancreatic cancer has struck quite a few people.....
Prayers up for this man and his family and friends. Thanks to him for the entertainment.
North and South.
