Obama's election could bring about the next Civil War - Rural Red vs. the Big Blue urban areas

On October 31, 2006, I released a column titled When 51-49 becomes 49-51 in which I stated, “Nearly every American senses a horrific problem on the horizon. But due to massive amounts of disinformation, few know the cause or can see what, if anything, to do about it.”

...

* The unalienable right to life - Gone with Roe vs. Wade!
* The unalienable right to individual liberty - Replaced with a greater common good!
* The unalienable right to pursue happiness - Gone with the XVI Amendment and oppressive punitive taxation.
* Free speech - Gone with political correctness, replaced with socially acceptable speech.
* Free religious expression - Gone with a new freedom from public religious expression.
* States rights - Gone with the XVII Amendment.

I found this at Skewz.com (which I disdain because the concept promotes the view of 'balance' between leftist and correct (labeled "right") worldviews).

However, interesting articles from both sides of their spectrum can be found - like this one.

Being an old data dink (math major, computer nerd), my eduction focused mostly on hard science and IT. This blog post appears to be a good American History capsule explaining the theft of the country by leftists.

We know how it can very easily start...

the Birth Certificate.

He’s hiding something.
Nobody spends $1 million to fight being forced to produce a document which would cost just $12.00.

This will come to a head, cities will explode...

It will start with the stand down of our military under direct orders from the Chief of Staff to disregard the fake Commander In Chief. This will be considered mutiny by the fake CIC and he will call for court marshals of all his generals. Congress and SCOTUS will be dragged into the conflict but the confusion of having to act on the fake CIC’s orders will end up with nothing but a war of words and no action. A total breakdown in the Federal government will happen. Finally, congress will come to their senses after realizing this country is going down and get to the bottom of the BC problem. The messiah will be removed from office and the VP will take the helm (temporary) until a new election is convened. The military will, then, be under the orders of the temp VP until a newly elected president is sworn in.

Do we have any patriotic, warrior types among the Joint Chiefs with the coglioni to carry this out, or are they all Wesley Clark effeminate fops?

Bty, the newly elected president will consist of a complete ticket (President and Vice President). In all probability, the ticket will be the same one that originally ran against the democrat ticket (McCain/Palin). An alternate scenario would be no elections with transfer by default to McCain/Palin since the Obama ticket and all it's administration appointments would be corrupted by his unconstitutional powers.

See my tagline.

There will be no Civil War II because in a historical context we should have been one by now, our differences are striking between Left and Right, so much so that compared to the reasons for the first Civil War, that war could have been settled peacefully.

While I agree we are heading towards a dark hole that only SCOTUS can stop I think the war will be about:

Working taxpaying Americans vs our elite ruling class from both parties.

It isn’t the fault of poor people or blacks that we are where we are.

The fault is clearly in the hands of our ruling elite. This means most in the democrat party and a very large group of republican socialists.

This group of thugs include George W. Bush, Juan McCain, and many other republican socilaists.

In order to return our country to it’s constitutional roots a complete purge is required.

This includes the press. If conservatives had any balls and real conceens we would all boycott all leftist media. This includes movies. We’d demand end of funding to PBS, NPR, ACORN and other left wing groups.

The finance market needs to be returned to the private sector and our bank decentralized.

The US Government is bankrupt right now, they have no money and they are borrowing TRILLIONS so they can spend more.

The question is will our soldiers fire on US citizens?

If they do we have a revolution on our hands.

We are in the midst of a coup, our country has just been overthrown by ACORN, members of the democrat ruling elite, members of the republican ruling elite and interests from outside the US.

Why do people think O collected by some estimates, $300 million in campaign money from OUTSIDE the US.

it’s a coup, O is not a US citizen.

The organic refuse will be headed for the fan if the issue of “natural born” becomes ripe and uhBama attempts to slide it past us. Just as bad, but in another way, will be if the Supreme Court cannot bring itself to sufficiently review the matter. Or the Electors in the Electoral College refuse to consider the matter.

Hitler came to power by taking advantage in several of the defects in the Weimar Constitution [1]. But his road to power could have been stopped had the opposition been sufficiently resolute. We call limp Republicans RINOs for a good reason, and the Republican party must hope there are enough Democrats who still have a conscience so they have the votes to stop where the US is sliding.

There have been moments in our history when the Constitution, as exiled as it is, was protected by the actions of just a handful of patriots. We may be headed for one of those moments in just a very few days.

Obama was simply chosen to lead the party of urban liberals. He's not worth all the attention of the right. He's just a big city socialist. The focus needs to be on Republican Socialists and those Democrats that bring the government into every aspect of life crashing the economy and gaining even more power for it. Bush is probably more responsible than Obama right now.

There has never been a wealth transfer program as large as what was accomplished with the CRA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac over the last decade. And the US has actually given more control to varmits getting rich buying votes.

Your post has no basis in law or the US Constitution.

If SCOTUS rules he can’t take office before the EC vote on Dec 15, then they just vote for whoever they want, could be they elect Hillery Clinton.

If after the EC vote but before being sworn then we have a different can of worms. My guess is VP becomes president elect, he picks a VP. Same thing after taking oath.

But at that point he would be a lame duck.

A much better solution is to call for a constitutional convention to work out an amicable divorce from the leftists and their useful idiots.

Don’t know if it can be done, but I do know we can never enjoy even a modicum of freedom as long as leftists and collectivists live among us.

CW2? Total nonsense.
Creeping socialism has already got us all so interdependent, we are all hostages. What are you going to do when the cop at your door, who has come to take your guns or arrest you for sedition, is your neighbor or your boss’ brother? And he says “Come on, don’t make trouble. I could lose my job.”
What are you going to do when your employer has to let you go because you have a criminal record because you didn’t report your gun sale, or you homeschooled your kid, or you protested against gay marriage and committed a hate crime?
Are you going to meet secretly on Tuesday nights with the other Sons of Liberty and talk about how you lost your job, pension, friends, spouse, health benefits, credit rating, license to practice, license to carry, tenure, internet connection, and/or your mortgaged house?
Bolshoi.
You will submit. You have been submitting all this time, and you have been hogtied with countless micro strands of socialist bondage.
Like the man said, mankind are more disposed to suffer while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves.
Keep waiting for that insufferable evil. You are already frog-boiled beyond any hope of recovery.
CW2 is just a keyboarder’s fantasy game.

The big difference between the left and the right, as far as secession goes,

is that we (on the right) all pretty much agree that we’d let them go with a handshake and a “good luck with that”.

They, however, cannot stand the idea of someone living outside of their control, and would attempt a forced re-integration of those of us who just want to be left alone.

It can’t happen peacefully for the reasons I’ve already stated -

the leftist mentality of control would not let people go peacefully to live outside of their control.

On another note, say the secession was successful. I say we implement strict immigration tests. People have to be of the right “mind” in order to live freely.

Basically, a “constrained” vs “unconstrained” worldview test.

This would test whether they believed the individual was better equipped to decide his own life’s choices, or if someone smarter should make them for him.

I envision a Second Revolution or a Counter Revolution if you will, should the birth certificate issue not be satisfactorily resolved.

I pesonally would like to see a restoration of the original republic where the concepts of limited government, limited taxation authority, individual freedom, property rights, and free market capitalism trumps democracy or the “will of the people”

That is how our Founding Fathers originally set up the Republic. Only property owning males could cast ballots in federal elections. Presidents were elected by the Electoral College. Senators were elected by state legislatures. We were a true Republic back then with real checks and balances. There was no such thing as “activist judges.”

Of course we could never really go back to such a political culture completely with only property owning males permitted to vote. However, we could and we should dramatically increase voting standards. The voting age should be raised. Voters should be able to prove citizenship along with the Deity-elect. Voters should have attained a certain educational level and should either be taxpayers or property owners.

This whole notion of direct democracy was completely alien to our Founders whose main concern was to protect the citzenry from unbridled government power and authority and taxation. Unfortunately, after years of indoctrination by neo-Stalinist teachers unions, tenured radical left college professors, along with a thoroughly disgusting and contemptible media and entertainment culture, most people in this country are completely and totally unaware of what a true republican government is all about.

Years ago, I saw a bumper sticker put out by the John Birch Society stating that this is a republic, not a democracy. At the time, I dismissed it as a trivial point. Now I get it. Now that it is too late. Welcome to the United Socialist States of America—the USSA—and Chicagograd is now the de facto capital.

Viva La Counterrevolucion!

My biggest concern is that if there were to be a revolution that the wrong people would be in charge and direct it in such a way that we would lose far more then we could gain.

We have strayed far from the principles of constitutionality and while I feel that there should be some corrections I am not willing to abandon constitutional principle altogether.

I would like to see the 2nd amendment made clear so that there could be no further debate. I would like the definition of treason changed to include unconstitutional legislation and/or usurpation of powers. I would like states to have representation again. I think a fair tax system should be incorporated into the constitution so it only be changed (in rate and/or structure) by constitutional amendment.

I don't think that a majority people actually want the government described in the constitution and I think less even knows what it would be like. A government actually run by the principles of the constitution would be a miraculous thing. Making some small changes to slow the steady usurpation we have seen historically would secure a true constitutionally mandated government for our decendents.

While this is an interesting intellectual exercise I think that concerned patriots have a better chance of victory by passing constitutional amendments and electing leaders that take the constitution seriously, then trying more overt action.

We started going down hill in 1913. In that year the Federal Reserve System was created, the federal income tax was imposed, and an amendment to the constitution calling for the direct election of U.S. Senators was passed. It is no coincidence that Woodrow Wilson was president. The first liberal Democrat to occupy the White House. Later he tried to drag us into the League of Nations, the precursor to the U.N.

Good comment. Walter E. Williams has been writing think-pieces on this subject for years. Here is one in which he talks about Oklahoma. This gives us an idea how each state can begin “pushing back” at the feds.
