In the outer cosmos of the blogosphere, the presidential election isn’t over.
Barack Obama, now busily forming his administration, isn’t just the wrong person to lead the nation, claim Web sites such as America Must Know and Right Side News.
He is, they contend, constitutionally ineligible to be president.
The argument is over his place of birth — Hawaii, if you accept statements by Hawaiian officials, his 1961 birth notice in a Honolulu newspaper and a certified document his campaign obtained 18 months ago.
Still, legions of anti-Obama bloggers are so convinced he was born in Kenya that they’ve filed more than a dozen lawsuits nationwide.

[§338-17.8] Certificates for children born out of State. (a) Upon application of an adult or the legal parents of a minor child, the director of health shall issue a birth certificate for such adult or minor, provided that proof has been submitted to the director of health that the legal parents of such individual while living without the Territory or State of Hawaii had declared the Territory or State of Hawaii as their legal residence for at least one year immediately preceding the birth or adoption of such child.
(b) Proof of legal residency shall be submitted to the director of health in any manner that the director shall deem appropriate. The director of health may also adopt any rules pursuant to chapter 91 that he or she may deem necessary or proper to prevent fraudulent applications for birth certificates and to require any further information or proof of events necessary for completion of a birth certificate.
(c) The fee for each application for registration shall be established by rule adopted pursuant to chapter 91. [L 1982, c 182, §1]

Somehow, I believe that some of the liberal judges will also vote to support the idea that Barry needs to show us his ORIGINAL birth certificate to take office.
If this constitutional challenge goes unanswered, the SCOTUS is in real danger of losing its power under what is left of our constitution. There are NO independent judiciaries in ANY of the leftist states in the world.
The SCOTUS would be dissolved by Congress and be reconstituted as a part of a super legislature under the control of the Democratic Party. This is what happens in South America and in the old Soviet states. No way they will ever share power with an independent judiciary. Venezuela comes to mind. Nicaraguan and Guatemala, too.

Fewer and fewer people revere the Constitution and it is in danger of obsolescence. Defying the Constitution outright to gain the highest Constitutional office in the land by someone who derides its existence is a blow that I fear will be fatal.
If Chief Justice Roberts refused to give the oath of office to Obama that would send a strong signal to America and the world, but at 12:00 on 1/20/09 assuming the EC votes for Obama, some judge will swear Obama into office. If not, Nancy Pelosi will be moving into the White House of January 20th.

Per Article II of the constitution you are a “natural born citizen” if both of your parents (father and mother) are natural born citizens or US citizens or naturalized citizens and you yourself are born in the US or US territories. Barack Obama senior (if that is the father) was not a US Citizen- he was in the US on student visa. Stanly Anne Dunham could have given birth to baby Obama or baby Barry right in the Oval office at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and still Mr. Obama will not be eligible to be President per Article II, period.
Let’s hope that our Supreme Court will look at legality of this issue and not the practically of it and side with the constitution. And let’s hope that the law of the land, the US Constitution, that has survived several wars in our history, depression, terrorist attack, natural disasters, civil unrest, etc will survive the fraud by one man.

Here is yet another example of shoddy journalism. The reading audience must be so dumbed down that they accept unsupported assertions as fact. A more interesting article would take a look at the reasons behind the claims and, perhaps, show why the claims are false.
First of all the writer should acknowledge and deal with the claim that the certified document is a forgery. The evidence that it is a forgery is compelling. The deny, destroy, delay tactics of the leftists are clearly at play in this case. Given the disordered minds attempting to deal with this issue, and the lack of training in journalism, it is no surprise that the article is shallow.
