It all becomes official tomorrow. That's when Governor Palin is scheduled to join Natural Resources Commissioner Tom Irwin and Revenue Commissioner Pat Galvin in signing the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act license over to TransCanada. Labor Commissioner Click Bishop, TransCanada CEO Hal Kvisle and TransCanada Vice President Tony Palmer also are scheduled to attend the event, to be held in Fairbanks.

Basically, Governor Palin is saying screw DC politics, we are going to commercialize North Slope natural gas fields. It is basically an agreement to run pipleline across parts of Canada to move supply easier.

AWESOME NEWS!! Let’s get that pipeline started so that we won’t have to rely on foreign oil
The agreement with Transcanada does not include the production fields and massive required gas treatment plant. There is as much engineering and design work required for this portion as the entire pipeline to Alberta.
This is a natural gas pipeline, not oil.

This combined with the story about Oprah whining that she won't talk to her are enough to renew my love for her like never before.
Yeah she has refused to go on Oprah and I think tonight’s Barbara Walters special where supposedly Sarah is gonna be on is a crock. I’ve seen the commercial, Sarah is shown but in old footage(From Katie Couric, what a shock Barbara!) Sarah won’t do any interviews with these losers who bashed her. Screw DC politics as usual is EXACTLY what she is saying, that’s why I think she will NOT run for the Senate, full of crooks and greedy people over there, she doesn’t need to go into that cesspool
It will even effect the price I pay to heat my home, drive my car, the price of electrical power and the price of diesel fuel to move just about everything I buy at retail stores here in Missouri.
This natural gas is going into the world energy pool. It will have a infinitesimal effect on energy prices, but it is going to be used to benefit people.
A small step for mankind,,,,we need more drilling,,, drilling,,, drilling and let the market place known as capitalism set the price, NOT OPEC!
TransCanada is the firm that will built the TransCanada natural gas pipeline from Prudhoe to Chicago for $40 billion. 50 trillion cu ft to be delivered.
Congress passed the Alaska Natural Gas Pipeline Act of 2004 which authorized the pipeline.
Then they refused to lift regulations or fund it.. The AGIA goes around DC, funds it through the State (and returns revenue back to the State) and bypasses a lot of regulation through the agreement with Canada to cross their territory.
