According to The Schnitt Show, a radio program available in several Florida markets and XM radio, a birth announcement for Barack Obama was discovered in a 1961 Honolulu newspaper. See link for a PDF image of this announcement.
Which part do you think is silly? The requirements outlined in the Constitution or Obama’s insistence that we take his word that he is a natural born citizen?

So are you saying an announcement in an obscure newspaper qualifies any one to become president of United States? Barack’s mother obtained a COLB (certificate of Live Birth). COuld that have triggered the newspaper announcement?
You don't believe that the Obots are using it to prove he is a natural born citizen? Using it for phony purposes makes it phony. Government offices generate millions of genuine but phony documents everyday. In many states if you adopt a child they will go back years and generate a state birth certificate making you the parent at the time of birth.

Two misstatements in one sentence. Good going. Hawaii has NEVER said that Obama was born there, simply that they have a birth certificate on record. And whether or not the “Certificate of Live Birth” being bandied about is genuine is very much in question and I sincerely doubt that it was ever issued by the State of Hawaii.
The Hawaiian officials stated that Obama’s birth certificate is on record in Hawaii. Obama has a sister, Maya who was born in Indonesia also has a Hawaiian COLB which is also certainly ‘on record’ in Hawaii. It is a meaningless statement, which brings up the question as to why it was even made.
That is an interesting thought. Even if he is shown to be Natural born citizen, another country could use this question to challenge a treaty.

I’ve tried arguing this and it’s to no avail. You get shouted down, called names, and labeled unpatriotic. They’re aggressive, obnoxious, and obsessed. Some of them of posted dozens of articles about this nonsense in just the past 24 hours.

Forgetting the fact that announcements were generated from registrations which could be filed for out of state births after the fact and by phone, the birth announcement contains inaccurate information. Obama’s mother was not married at the time of his birth as his father was already married and the address listed is neither the Grandmother’s address nor his father’s address at that time, where she presumably lived.
Not necessarily. It's possible for the mother or one of the maternal grandparents to have called in the announcement to the paper, and possibly paid a small charge to the paper for the service. Many newspapers did and still do birth announcements on that basis.
I am with you on this. I don’t mind this being taken to court and being explored. I would love to see the court say 0bama isn’t illegible but I just don’t see that happening.

And there is the issue of the illegitimate nature of the "President" Every law he signed would be challenged by the first person to be charged with violating it. And in criminal cases the rules for "discovery" are different.
So we shouldn't at least fight over this matter? You want people who deeply care about this nation to go away and curl up in the fetal position and wait for stimulus checks huh. All Obama has to do is produce a valid BC. I would still loathe him but at least I'll be comfortable he's a natural-born citizen. It's not like we're asking him to give us signed documents, sworn testimony, and dozens of other accounts of whether or not he served in the TANG as the liberals have done to Bush.
