New lawsuit challenges Obama’s citizenship, win in (Washington) state
Tri-City Herald ^ | Dec. 4, 2008 | Herald staff

A group of Washington residents have filed a lawsuit with the state Supreme Court asking the state's votes for President-Elect Barack Obama be set aside.

James E. Broe, of King County, and 12 others claim Obama never established that he is a natural-born American citizen as required by the Constitution, and that Obama ran under a false name.

A similar suit before the election was dismissed in King County.

Obama is set to receive the state's 11 electoral votes when the Electoral College delegates meet in Olympia on Dec. 15.

Similar lawsuits have been filed in other states.

Dave Ammons, spokesman for Secretary of State Sam Reed's office, said in an e-mail to the Herald that the state's position is that Reed is not required and does not have the authority to investigate the qualifications of candidates for president and vice president.

It stands to reason when Senator McCain also does not meet the Constitutional requirements to hold the Office of President!

I thought this was cleared up back in 2000. Of course, I have no idea if this issue can withstand deeper scrutiny.

One thing during all of this has become clear to me. There is nobody who vets these candidates!

This alone is outragous.

Obama needs to deal with the issue. Who IS Barry Soetero?

He needs to pony up all the info from the schools he attended and provide his birth records.

He is hiding something. It won’t stay hidden forever, once the bloom is off the rose, the hidden information will emerge.

That is the question of the year... Who has the authority to question 0’s citizenship and request proof? Before the election, I called my State BOE, and they didn’t know either, so they put me on hold to check, then they transferred me somewhere without telling me where. They sent me to the DNC. The DNC wasn’t very helpful, as you could imagine.

It just seems like everyone is hitting a dead end, and it is a very simple request.

Why? I don't think it's going to go anywhere in terms of blocking a Zero presidency.

But why is it tinfoil hat territory? A very basic Constitutional requirement needs to be verified. If the suspicion were that he was only 34 years old, would that also not be an issue if he hadn't adequately proved that he was of the constitutionally mandated age?

People are starting early in making sure that these uber leftists abide by the constitution. It's a pretty frightening sign that even ‘conservatives’ on FR are calling them crazy and derailing the effort.

Another problem with a person with power holding secrets is blackmail. 0’s secrecy is putting our nation’s security at risk due to the potential of blackmail.

McCain was born on an American Territory, the Panama Canal Zone, by two USA citizens.

To be a Natural Citizen, one does not have to be born in Kansas.

Wrong. Since both of Senator McCain's parents were US citizens he is a natural born citizen. This was cleared up well over a year ago when the lefties brought it up.

The lefties brought it up in S.Res. 511, and declared him to be a natural born citizen. Problem is, Senate resolutions carry no weight of law.

This is precisely the question the Supreme Court will visit in Conference today.

Is this because you have proof that Obama was a Natural Born Citizen. If so, cough it up.

I happened to hear Blabbity's lame BS about the inconvenient little issue of whether OBamBam is legally qualified to be POTUS ... This issue has bubbled up in so many courts, including the Supreme Court, that Drudge covered it yesterday, so I guess Blabbity figured he had to mention it in passing yesterday.

I seldom turn Blabbity on anymore since right after the election, he kept "wishing Obama success" as president. WTF?? Did George Patton wish the German generals success? What a retard excuse for a conservative talk show host this guy is. How the hell did he ever get syndicated?

I was listening to Hannity discuss this yesterday. He did not even want to touch it. He danced around and talked about how he had been watching the issue, but had not mentioned it on air. Then he say’s that he will take Obama and his families word on where he was born!!!!!!!

Is that for real? Even if Obama and his grandmother supposedly disagree on where he was born? Is this the same Hannity that constantly says Obama is a liar on so many issues involving his past, his relationships, etc? The same Hannity who always says he just wants the truth? Now he just wants to take Obama at his word on this?

They can harp all they want about how the MSM failed to dig into Obama's past or question him at all. But now I'm truly disappointed with the GOP and right wing talkers who are scared to death of looking into this and simply wanting to make certain that the man who leads us the next four years actually meets constitutional requirements to hold that office.

One of my friends who I have always put into the "looney, fringe" category, insisted to me years ago that the constitution was already done away with and we were currently living under a shadow government. Hmm. Maybe he was onto something judging by the way so many are acting in regards to this constitutional issue.

Actually the House of Representatives is tasked with the responsibility of insuring the person who receives the most Electoral College votes is eligible to be President of the United States. Of course, at the time there was no huge national election only a meeting of the electors who were chosen by the individual States.

After the Electoral College, when the House then counts their votes, it will be the right time for a Congress person to challenge the eligibility of Ossama Hussien to be President. If Congress refuses to act one or more Congress persons will definitely have standing to petition the Supreme Court to enforce the Constitution.

Patience!

I cannot believe that you and so many others fail to realize that since Barry hasn't released pertinent info regarding proof of his natural born status, the nation and the Constitution are in jeopardy.

If 0 is sworn into office and signs into law legislation, trade treaties, executive orders, appoints judges, etc., etc., and is later fond out and proved to be completely ineligible with respect to natural born status and/or legitimate US citizenship, that all his and Congress's and the rest of the government's 'work', appropriations, etc., becomes null and void.

Because of 0's background and associated questions, these questions have to be answered in court in front of witnesses and forensic experts, NOW!! Some Lefties',NWO, the MSM's, FactSlime, orgy, CFR's cronies', Dem's, etc., words will not suffice.

Hopefully The Supremes are smart enough to understand this and will act accordingly.

At no point in my post did I say or intimate that, but thanks for the snark anyway.

What I was saying is that as I grow older and learn more, I no longer trust my government or the political parties that run it to be truthful about anything.

I have just sent this email to a personal friend who is a state representative here:

Dear *****,
This whole Obama VALID birth certificate flap has many folks here worried that the vetting of NATIONAL CANDIDATES by the political parties is NOT sufficiently rigid — or even exists at all.

Since Obama has REFUSED to present a valid, vault copy of said document, can you tell me if Georgia has a statutory requirement for such vetting by the state? Prohibiting Georgia’s electors from voting for a candidate failing to provide all necessary certified/legal documentation/information would be the goal. If enough states did so, it would keep future unqualified candidates from taking office and creating a dangerous Constitutional crisis.

If Georgia does not have such a statute, would you be willing to offer such legislation in the upcoming session?
I’d be happy to do the research into what OTHER states have done or are doing and/or help draft said legislation.

Thanks and have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and great ‘09.

Dick
