Imprecise aim + old frail person + one round + small caliber does not sound like a formula for success to me. Since it does not look like a gun, the intimidation factor is zero. No mugger is going to run away from an inhaler. You basically HAVE to pull the trigger for the weapon to have any effect. And once you do that well, I hope there was only one bad guy and you scored a head shot.

Me neither. The only upside is that the very idea is probably pi$$ing off a lot of liberal physicians. I will do my part by discussing this very idea with the Rheumatologist I work with (who voted for Nader in 2004 and Obama this year).
