We are asking everyone, regardless of sexual orientation, to help us fight for basic human rights. In reaction to the devastating and inhumane ‘yes’ on Proposition 8, the LBGT community, is asking all Queers and supporters to “call in gay” for ‘Human Rights Day’ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_Rights_Day), the 10th of December. The Queer population has suffered social injustice for too long and now is our chance to show the world how much we matter.
December 10th is a Wednesday and we encourage everyone to do nothing to help the economy. We ask that students skip class, teachers cancel class and business owners shut the financial doors for one day. No matter how important your job may be, please “call in gay” to show support on December 10th. Don’t forget to spread the word to everyone you know!
We will make a difference! We will receive the rights we deserve! And we are an important part of the global economy!

About we all call in tapped out on Jan. 20. It’s a Tuesday and we could have a 4 day weekend.
I guess the queers matter a lot to the butt lube industry.
Otherwise... not so much.
This will work, just like so many “boycotts” including “not one damn dime day” and “no illegals work day.”

So does this mean they will all stay home and not swarm the mall?
I actually need to put in a few extra hours at work. I think I’ll do it Wednesday and stop at the mall to do a little Christmas shopping later that same evening.
It’ll be a cold day in hell before I aspire to be “gay” in that sense. They have to suffer for their CHOICE alone and miserable.
Since I stay at home... I think my husband would probably like that idea. At least for a wild weekend. ;o)
My suggestion is:
Call in and claim you are NOT gay and proud of it.
If it's two women who gets screwed then? The “butch” one maybe?
For such an “enlightened” and “educated” group of people the gays appear to be moronic on this point.
Oh but it is!
It’s a spirtual death as well as a physical death.
For “gay” males it’s just a matter of time before the contract AIDS.
I won’t be able to get my hair done . . . or my living room decorated.
If they’re so upset, why are they “gay”?
