I don’t like either Fergie or the elder Sununu.

The NH GOP is on its death bed, SLC. Sununu can’t do any more harm than Cullen has done these past two years.

Some of the Delegates where talking yesterday about having Jr run for Gov. I think that Lynch is going after Gregg so it could get interesting.

If it’s on its death bed, then why even try? If it’s doomed to fail, then just close up shop and save your money. That’s an honest question, it’s not being snarky. If it’s dying, then there’s literally no way to revive it. I don’t care who the candidates are, who is running the party, or if they have 1 billion dollars in their campaign chest. It won’t matter if it’ dying.

Umm, sorry, I think I may have misread your comment, thus my response may be a little off.

How can the NH GOP be revived...in your view?

Gov. Sununu may not be the “pure conservative” all would like but think he will do well for NH.
He knows the State and much family there and will be able to jump start the party and hope he will bring along younger folks to be part of the GOP and lead.

Several of my 5th great grandfathers served in the Rev. War from NH under Stark and Daniel Webster’s father.

Don’t write of NH.

Louisiana did’t know what a Republican was since the days of Lincoln. They now have a Republican Gov. and as yesterday, two new Republican Reps.

New Hampshire is now officially “Massachusetts North”, and, speaking of Massachusetts, all non-leftists in Massachusetts have really been clueless about how to finally make any kind of serious political inroads there for over five decades. New Hampshire is already seriously moving in the same political direction that Massachusetts has been in for a very long time.

I hope not, it was a great State, only been there once (in the 2006 Campaign); As for Mass and it’s “M*holles” as you neighbors in the friendly state say- I don’t see any hope for it (except for conservatives to possibly infiltrate the Democratic Party there..?-Most voters are ignorant on what their politicians support anyway)!?- Just a though.

Hope NH eventually comes to it’s senses and moves back into a Conservative/Libertarian direction!

You are proving my point that conservatism will seriously continue to be a political minority throughout most of the U.S. and for a very long time, whether you realise it or not. In many ways, both “Massachusetts politics”, including many of its negative things, and “Chicago politics”, including many of its negative things, will officially go national, starting on January 20, 2009. Since all remaining non-leftists from within Massachusetts continue to be clueless about how to seriously make things go their way, after more than five decades of leftist political domination, I now see this same pattern going national for the long-term! I seriously hope that I’m very wrong about all of this, and only the official results of the majority, repeat majority, of political races from now on will seriously determine whether or not I’m correct about all of these things.

Well, I hope you are wrong, Mr. Moore, however I do know not to trust in the world, but Our Lord, and Savior, Jesus Christ! Becuase this one is passing away, politically we may still have time, and Providence may allow us to turn around the USA once again, if not at least a portion of this nation (in which we shall be self-atonomous)!

I guess this is the most recent on him.

I am a native of and live here in San Diego.
Am interested in what the other states are doing especially where I have had ancestors back to the early 1600s

The last I knew, he was still at his Inn in Jackson. Can’t really say that I miss him but he was head and shoulders above Che Porter.

"Thanks, Bill. However it turns out, I see energy today that I haven’t seen for years. I say give him a chance. This party is on life support and I’d hate to think the time had come for a DNR order."

Oh, I think we should just go along with the other guy who is complaining about him. I think it is smarter to just give up and die!

In case any of you misunderstood me, it is time for us to take back this state. As the reality of Obama and the RATS sink in, there is going to be massive shock and awe, as in “awww $hit!”. We need to start rebuilding now and stop the whining.

I agree and I, for one, am glad to see someone of John H. Sununu’s stature stepping up the plate. I don’t care whether you like him or not, he has the skills and the resources to move and shake and that is definitely what is needed here. This doesn’t have anything to do with David Souter or anything else like that. Expect to hear a lot of “The Democrats are ruining this state” as time goes by. I think that is going to be hammered and hammered and hammered until the cows come home. And it won’t be hard to provide evidence to back it up.
Now if Wonderful Warren Rudman was the one instead of Sununu, I would be adamantly opposed to that. He is the (so-called) Republican that I despise the most. Given the choice, I would vote for Ted Kennedy over that weasel.
