Now that Barack Obama will be moving to the White House, his seat in the U.S. Senate representing Illinois will have to be filled.
Obama met with Governor Rod Blagojevich earlier this week to discuss it.

I was in the audience at another time when Director of VA Duckworth visited Quincy and was quite impressed. I do think she would be a good choice for Obama's replacement in the US Senate.

I think that he initially planned on meeting with the Governor but changed his mind when he found out the Governor wanted to “fill his seat” and he didn’t like the sound of that.

I saw that! I was thinking how perfect that was. So where are these reporters now? Sowers was predicting the meeting and then her colleauge, Alexis Hunt comfirms it. So don't they either need to correct their story or need to cry out to the national media that the Obama camp is not telling the truth?
