It is amazing how we tend to take things for granted when these brave young men and women give so much. I am glad you posted this to remind us to keep all of them in our prayers and maybe even move a few to get involved and send them a little something.
To: Syncro
Damn. Global warming over there too.

I'm here in Upsate NY. It's cold out but I'm toasty warm in my comfortable home. I won't complain about it for the rest of winter.
God Bless Our Troops, our allies and President Bush. Thank You and Merry Christmas to All.

The Soldiers, at times, must ration everything. No showers, no electricity, no hot meals, not outside communication, in fire fights every day and often more than one a day. ****
My neighbor Joe just went back 8 weeks ago for a year in Afghanistan...he said he would rather spend 2 years in Iraq than 6 months in Afghanistan.

It is going to be a tough winter in Afghanistan. They probably are going to get record amounts of snow in most areas where mountain ranges exist.
The good news part is the Taliban and AQA and AQP will not be able to do a damn thing. Many new FOB and lesser stations will be set up by NATO and US troops, where it makes sense to do so.
In the spring or early summer once conditions allow the goon squads to yet again play games they are going to get their teeth kicked in royally.

Yea, they don't need no help.
No tarps, no care packages.
Some of us like to acknowledge the fantastic job they are doing though.
We all know they can handle it mean dog.
You can go to MAF or dozens of other organizations to send them some goodies if you would like to.
