I think this is great news! We can start drilling, (or the Russians will) for oil, and shipping routes will be much shorter and as a result cheaper. Unfortunately, I think this winter will put all the computer models which would allow this to rest for once and for all.

And while Algore speaks, they had snow in New Orleans this week. It’s just so hard to believe this stuff.
A few years ago, January was unusually warm, and the global warming crowd said the weather was because of global warming. So if there is unusually cold weather, does that mean it’s global cooling??????

Winter storm warning

Much colder temperatures and heavy snow will affect all of north Central and southwest montana from to-night through late Saturday night.
An upper level low over the west coast will bring snow into Western Montana this evening, then spread east though northcentral and southwest Montana overnight.
An arctic airmass will then drop south from Canada into northcentral Montana tonight and through southwest Montana during the day on Saturday.
Temperatures will turn sharply colder with gusty north winds causing areas of blowing and drifting of snow and bitterly cold wind chill temperatures. Temperatures will fall well below zero across all of northcentral and southwest Montana Saturday night with sub-zero temperatures continuing across the region through early next week.
The National Weather Service is forecasting near blizzard conditions, with total snow accumulations of seven to 10 inches, with up to 18 inches.
The combination of snow and gusty north winds may create near blizzard conditions at times on Saturday, especially across eastern portions of Fergus and Blaine counties. In addition, the gusty north winds will combine with the falling temperatures to produce dangerously low wind chill values Saturday afternoon and evening. Very cold air will continue to filter into the region with temperatures near 20 below zero Sunday morning and 30 below zero by Monday morning.
A winter storm warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous.
Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Heavy snow, strong winds and a blast of cold air was forecast for the Northwest on Saturday. Daytime snowfall accumulations were expected to be around half of a foot, with as much as 10 to 12 inches expected in areas. Conditions were to be very windy, and blizzard warnings had been issued across parts of Montana and North Dakota, as well as a small area over southwest Washington and eastern Oregon. Highs were to be in the single digits, with temperatures to drop below zero in much of the region from Montana to the Dakotas.
Farther south, California was to see mostly rain, with snow in the mountains in the northern and eastern parts of the state. Much of the Intermountain West was to see snow showers.
While the Northern Plains was to get hit hard with the storm, the Central and Southern Plains were to see increasing clouds throughout the day as the system approaches the region. Snow was to begin to move into the area by the end of the day, and winds were to begin to pick up.
Most of the East Coast was to see mostly clear skies on Saturday, although some clouds and possibly a few lake effect flurries were forecast for areas closest to the Great Lakes.
He usually prophesies a ten year end-of-the-world scenario.
Darn, and I was planning on going cross country skiing there in 2013.

I think we already had and passed that crisis - in the 70’s? Whenever!! AND these people have power!
