I heard on Rush once where he mentioned a time when it was global cooling that was the terror ...like in 1973 or so ... then he also said it’s a cyclical thing with the media. Every 20 or 30 years this comes up ....
Newsweak reported on global cooling in the 70’s and it soon made children’s magazines (Highlights etc.) If you were a kid in the 60’s or 70’s you received alot of snow days.
Some of us don't have to hear it on Rush - we just remember it.
That's what makes us so disinclined to believe the scare du jour.
35 years ago, it was all about how we were moving into another Ice Age!
The glaciers would devour Detroit!!!
Life as we know it would end!!!
But then they realized, there was nothing they could lay off on automobiles, so "global cooling" just wasn't going to accomplish anything they wanted.
