Yeah, I would imagine all the crazed liberals would be well known.
Why? Because 9 times out of 10— IT IS THE LEFT!
This is a crime of aggression, meant to kill as many people as possible.
Given the location it shouldn't take long to catch the perps.
My claim has the same amount of credibility as the secret service blaming Governor Palin for threats on O’s life because she said O palled around with Ayers, the terrorist.
I said in my reply the term “hate crime” is nonsense. I do think that if the left is intent on applying this stupid term to every crime committed against a minority, then we should be able to use it against them for every crime comitted against a conservative or a Christian.
Any more questions, Perry Mason?
If it is nonsense, what is the purpose in encouraging the application of this term by using it yourself?
Evidence: There must have been a trail of footprints in the snow. Plus the wacko’s fingerprints on the can or bottle of accelerant. And hopefully a security cam or two at the Church.
It was definitely an attempted homicide.
Investigators will be looking at the women in the Church to see if they had any ex-husbands or ex-boyfriends who wanted revenge. This type of arson is usually motivated by revenge.
Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. If the left insists on using a nonsensical term, we should be free to use it against them in return. If the left sees how stupid this term is by having it used against them, maybe they’ll quit using it. Besides, I enjoy giving them a dose of their own medicine. Perhaps the irony escapes you.
I understand the irony full well. Unfortunately, the effect of calling for hate crime prosecutions is to encourage hate crime prosecutions. This will be abused by the Left far more often than it can be abused by the Right.
I don't think it's quite that small and the town has nearly doubled in size over the last few years from what I understand.
Making sure that the entrances would be on fire by pouring an accelerant around them suggests to me that the target might have been someone already in that church and they did not want them to get out. Maybe this was the work of a jilted boyfriend, ex husband or even a church member with a grudge etc. It’s hard to imagine that they didn’t know that people were there, after all there must have been cars in the parking lot. I can’t see how someone who wanted to make a political statement against someone, would want to commit murder to do it. If nothing else it takes the focus off the main point that they are trying to make. JMO
Yep. Perhaps another way to say it is that the accelerants were poured around the *exits*.
I cannot fathom this. I've never hated anyone enough for such a thing to even cross my mind.
Allow the Alaska DPS investigation to take its course. The Feds are already involved because of the Palin angle.
Best,
Chris
When you get right down to it this is not just arson and the felony that entails but also attempted murder. When you’re pouring gasoline or another accelerant at the entrance ways that shows deliberate attempt to impede or prevent the exit of any people that may be inside the building.
I don’t know what kind of person(s) would do such a thing or what their motive may have been. Personal, political does it matter? An attempt to murder is in itself a hate crime.
Of course though if the ATF/FBI comes back and finds the suspect is from a left wing group, blog, affiliation etc. you will never hear of it. Hell, you wouldn’t know this story existed at all based on its coverage in the MSM.
ok, yo’ right.
republicans attacked sarah’s church.
thanks.
you can be catty or have a discussion.....whatever.
We should check to see if McCain has an alibi.
lol!
probably one of mac’s buddies who are still bearing grudges?
I agree with you completely. Our society will gladly label any crime against a protected minority as a “hate crime”, whether or not their is a component of racial or other animus, while it is always open season against Christians.
That is why I am saying that employing the terms of the Left is a bad idea, because it lends these terms legitimacy that will, inevitably, be abused.
I am not employing the terms of the left, I am mocking them.
