The Founders' Second Amendment: Origins of the Right to Bear Arms (D.C. v Heller atty)

In light of what The Community Organizer of Kenya has in store for those who believe the Founders knew what they were doing regarding the right to bear arms, there is an effort to have a massive book buy of Stephen Halbrook's book today to shoot up the ratings and send a message.

I don't have a recommendation, but I'm looking at the reviews to decide if it might make a good Christmas present.

SECOND AMENDMENT BOOK DOT COM

Dr. Stephen P. Halbrook, a leading Second Amendment scholar and attorney, played a key role in this year’s landmark pro-gun ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court (District of Columbia v. Heller, 2008).

He received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center and Ph.D. in social philosophy from Florida State University, and he has taught legal and political philosophy at George Mason University, Howard University, and Tuskegee Institute.

I have a copy of the book and just started reading it. It looks like a good read, something along the line of history. Which is what I like.

BTW, I knew the author’s parents and siblings, although I have never met him. His parents were solid conservatives.
