Revolving door media DemocratsAt least he made it official.

Time magazine Washington bureau chief Jay Carney is quitting his magazine post to take the fearsome task of managing the commications problems of incoming vice president Joe Biden.

This hardly comes as a surprise. During his tenure at Time, Carney accrued a reputation for bashing Republicans. In March, he urged President Bush to give a speech on the economy and say that he is "a Republican who actually cares about people that are suffering."

In a November 2007 blog post, Carney slammed the Bush administration for "los[ing] touch with reality" for insisting that the situation in Iraq was improving, despite many indicators that the surge strategy was working.

A number of reporters have gone through the revolving door to work for Democrats this year including:

As far as we can tell, John McCain and his former Republican presidential rivals couldn't get any Big Media journalists to go work for them.

For many more examples of journalists crossing the line between media and liberal politics, please see our Revolving Door category.

I wonder what he expects to get out of this—unless it’s a promotion to Obama’s staff. Biden will be in the wilderness.

Did Time mag ever tell their readers that Carney was a Democrat?

No.

More evidence of a corrupt media.

Book deal, probably, down the road.

Being an aide to the Vice President doesn't give much power, but you can make a lot of contacts.

In other news, Claire (Mrs. Carney) Shipman will continue to provide unbiased reporting for ABC news.

The political inbreds.

The exclusive club of left wing media and politics continues with their total conflict of interest.

On the payroll above the table now instead of under it.

Carney is getting his own personal media bailout. Time can now go under, but Carney will be getting a steady paycheck.

Ho hum. Another dog-bites-man story. Wake me up if a media person goes to work for a Republican administration.

So all the reporters who lied and propogandized for Hussein to get elected are now moving into government.

Turns out they were campaigning not for him, but campaigning so they could get power jobs.

Surprise, surprise.

Anyone that knows anything about Joe Biden knows that anyone with the name “Carney” on his staff right now is nothing more than a rubbing on the head “it’s OK” canard to Delaware.

John Carney, the current Lt. Gov (and unsuccessful Dem primary candidate for Gov) was considered by many to be the odds on favorite. Instead a placekeeper will be appointed.
