Wonder why this “hero” never tossed a shoe at Saddam?
I read that he's a Saddamite, out of the country when the invasion occured. Fits since he works for an "independent" station out of Cairo. But he could be a Sadirist as Allegra postulated.
I want to know how and why such a person was allowed so close to our President. Those shoes could have just as easily been "shoe bombs". Or just coated with Anthrax, or lots of other nasty possibilties.
Remember it was a supposedly "independt camera crew, with an explosive camera, that killed the Anti-Taliban Afghan Northern Alliance commander, Afghan commander Ahmed Shah Massood right before 911 on Sept. 09, 2001.
