It might be helpful for conservatives to print this thread out and look at it the next time Newt’s name comes up for a leadership position in ANYTHING. He is less trustworthy than John McCain, and after seeing the latter’s efforts during the election, that is no mean feat.

The old Republican establishment appears to have lost its mind. I guess I’ll just start referring to myself as a conservative....Best chuckle I had today. You're right: Most political labels are pretty useless these days. Better just to say what you are for and what you are against. I'm thinking of getting my list laminated and passing it around at family gatherings and social events. It's the "speed dating" version of political small talk.
