The gov was considering a boner tax but...
Lots of opportunities in Texas!
The blind leading the blind.
50 cent tax on cigars......Bill better stock up while he can. ;)
Spitzer paid that in advance...
Another state the liberals have ran into the ground - hey, there’s a pattern forming here.
Atta goin’, BB!
Get him down here where conservatives are respected and
the economy is MUCH better!
Come on down, Rus. I have been after you for sooo long! LOL!
Geeze, I will never learn to put the drink down before reading.
I am glad you moved here, too! :D
Patterson also wants an “obesity” tax on soda, according to
another New Yorker that I know. Geez!
NY State is on a bobsled ride to hell...
Y’all get out before they close the exits!
It won’t be any better when another Kennedy or Cuomo become
Hitlery’s replacement either!
Glad you were smart! :D
I am headed for Dallas in January
Atlas is shrugging coast to coast. Will the sheep accept such fleecing? That is the question. Why does government never decrease?
Did y’all read the comment section at the article? Someone cursed NY by wishing that there would be a tax on each sheet of toilet paper used!!! LOL!! No one will be able to ‘spare a square’, if you remember this old Seinfeld reference! :-)
NY,... the city must have 10 million people on the dole, probably half of them illegal aliens ...
NY is doomed.
The donkeys are even gong after the Indians again...if they resist we may just have that general uprising...
Any taxes on “circus tickets?”
I’ll need a lot of popcorn!
Did ya mean passes to the legislature?
I was referring to SNL last Saturday. I can’t imagine all the legislators have a “circus ticket” habit.
On SNL, in the Governor Paterson skit (hilarious), “circus tickets” referred to cocaine.
Yeah...now I remember...
Paterson will leagalize drugs so they can be taxed!
Too bad they don’t hand out Oscar’s for best impersonation.
That Paterson skit had me rolling.
Fred Armison was fantastic!
“Why does government never decrease?”
ya wanna hear something really funny?
Not only is the NY government going to continue to brutally punish the residents who haven’t yet run screaming from the state - but they’ve actually hired more staff to man the phones.
To handle all the complaints!
They are so imcompetent - they have to hire more people at taxpayers’ expense to listen to all the complaining!
“The donkeys are even gong after the Indians again...if they resist we may just have that general uprising...”
Why is it the libs are never racist when they pick on the indians?
Can you imagine if republicans were trying to do this?
my eyes were getting tired watching him hold onto that squint with his eyes rolled to the right.
That was a long skit to keep your eyes in that position.
I noticed that, too. Armison studied Paterson well, right down to the facial hair. That was as good as an impersonation as the Tina Fey/Sarah Palin deal.
Because the libs only pick on the Indians who hated other Indians. And Black slaves. And homosexuals.
This state is clearly on the road to hell. Higher gas taxes, tax on haircuts, obesity tax, higher fees on everything under the sun and to top it off, Paterson wants to increase welfare and make it easier to get on it and medicaid.
We now have lost the senate and are being run by all downstate politicos. I may have no choice but to move after this mess.
Texas welcomes y’all with open arms!
We sure would welcome you with open arms!
There is plenty of construction work around here, too...right NYT?
I know and you are in my thoughts!

“People try to live within their income so they can afford to pay taxes to a government that can’t live within its income.” ~Robert Half
“The governments view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.” ~Ronald Reagan
The beginnings of internet taxation. Good Lord he's an idiot. People will go back to pirating.
I didn’t KNOW that about our indians in NY?
Learn something new everyday.
Texas is HUGE and ever growing...lots of opportunities, no state income tax, lowest gas prices, budget surplus, friendly folks, nice weather.... Shall I go on?
Of course the way that Arnie and the legislature are mismanaging the CA budget I think our bobsled to hell is just a little behind the NYer's.
I have a feeling it won't be long before I have to look for a new place to settle down. If I cash in my San Diego real estate I could probably buy a summer place in Lake Tahoe (Nevada side) and a winter place in Arizona (can't take humidity). Texas would be OK if I could find a low humidity area.
You should go to work for the PR department for the state! LOL!
Yep...has all that and more! Lovely shoreline....mountains....forests....great cities....LOTS of conservatives! :D
No Hillary OR Paterson!
Ya best get out fast...
Fredricksburg is beautiful hill country west of Austin.
We even have a FReeper there!
It’s too hot in Texas.
Although Air Conditioning / refrigeration was invented in Buffalo, NY...we have plenty of it in Texas!
The Democrats are destroying my place of birth!
It was some relief while I was pay’n it...
I was born 4 blocks from where I live and grew up at the foot of a mountain in Lake George. I truly love where I live. Yeah, I’m too old to like snow anymore, but still...
We’ve always been a service industry area because of the tourism, but it’s when the tourists buy property instead of just visiting that is destroying us.
You are married to where you live. For better or worse, you will call it home for as long as you live.
I wish you well!
True...and thanks. I lived away from here - CT, St. Louis, Minneapolis, but always longed for home. Eastern upstate NY is in my heart and who I am I guess.
I have 55 windows. That’s my a/c. ;)
