I’m just so profoundly disappointed that We the People have lost our spines. This is still OUR government OF the people, BY the people and FOR the people and WE continue to wield power until such time as WE give it up that power.
Try this on for size:
We DEMAND tomorrow! that Congress pass a law doing away with all federal withholdling on our paycheck, effective April 15. Such a move would inject tons of “stimulus” into our economy, financial institutions would benefit from our need to save to make next year’s tax payment, and all those government programs are already funded for the year, so they’re safe.
Of course we’ll pay our full tax bill next April 15. We always do. We’re not criminals! Washington can trust us, for a change!
Should our Congressional solons refuse to pass such a law, we ask them nicely. If they still refuse, then we demand it.
And if they continue to refuse, we then dedicate one (1) street light to each and every one of our Senators and Congresscritters. We can attach plaques so Senator Foghorn will know precisely which lamp post he will be decorating come the Fourth of July, if this bill doesn’t get enacted. Voters could then patriotically volunteer to dedicate rope for their own homes, so each lamp post is equipped.
See the difference here? WE tell THEM what we want and they will provide it. Or else.
That spirit of “or else” is what we seem to have lost.
It’s not so much we’re attacked from within, other than Democrates inventing threats within that do not exist and provoking little and big sidetracking squabbles.
In the end it favors real threats from abroad to come to fruition and to be ignored.
It’s less about Democrates fighting and more about them pu$$ying out of a needed fight, whether it is meeting economic demands or facing the enemy.
Thank you so much
