Congressman Warns Global Warming 'Could' Harm Christmas Trees
NewsBusters ^ | December 18, 2008 | P.J. Gladnick

With an impeccable sense of poor timing due to a snowstorm in Las Vegas and unusually cold weather throughout the nation, North Carolina Congressman Heath Shuler (D-Of Course) is warning that global warming could harm the Christmas tree industry in his state. Key word is "could" since there is no evidence that any Christmas trees in that state have suffered from a global warming that hasn't even been proven to exist. Here is the Associated Press story of Shuler sounding the alarm for something that could happen (emphasis mine):

North Carolina Rep. Heath Shuler and forestry observers are warning that climate change could alter the state's Christmas trees.

Shuler and others plan to hold a press conference Thursday to discuss the impact of climate change.

Yeah, but the polar bears will have trees to pee on so it all works out.

Shuler is the same guy who said his 2-year-old daughter was captivated by Nancy Pelosi when she gave her gavel-acceptance speech after the dems took over Congress in Jan 2007. He’s a dim bulb who stunk up the field as a QB and will do so as a congressboy.

He is nuts. It’s been the coldest fall in decades here. I see more Christmas trees this year in Western Carolina than ever. The problem is they cut too many trees this year.

Isn't it AMAZING how gorebull warming propaganda is so seasonal? I guess on Easter, the production of eggs will be diminished because of the gore climate syndrome.

How come algore never said a thing about the worlds climate when he was in a position (vice president) to do more to help? Until he lost and went into recluse (I think he went over the edge after the 2000 election) he never even mentioned anything about the temperature of the earth.

His quest for relavancy is costing us billions.

And there’s Richard Burr’s potential challenger in 2010...

Shuler, Epic Fail.

According to Al Gore the ice caps by now should be melting inundating coastal areas of Florida, devastating hurricanes should have ravaged the Gulf coast and we should be seeing malaria in Minnesota. However it snowed in New Orleans and Las Vegas, most of the northeast is enduring record cold temperatures and the Midwestern states resemble the arctic. Anyone who now seriously believes Gore’s claptrap must be deluded.

But, weasal wording is a prominent characteristic of the Glow Bull Warming envirowackos. "Could", "might", "may", etc., are all benchmark weasal word terms of nutjobs peddling nonsense that has no factual basis.

His concussions must have come while playing for Tennessee because he failed in the NFL.
