And the MSM reaction will be: See! We told you Obama wasn't involved.

the same reaction they would have with a Republican.

Syn: To Absolve, Exonerate, Acquit. from dictionary.com:

Usage: We speak of a man as absolved from something that binds his conscience, or involves the charge of wrongdoing; as, to absolve from allegiance or from the obligation of an oath, or a promise. We speak of a person as exonerated, when he is released from some burden which had rested upon him; as, to exonerate from suspicion, to exonerate from blame or odium. It implies a purely moral acquittal. We speak of a person as acquitted, when a decision has been made in his favor with reference to a specific charge, either by a jury or by disinterested persons; as, he was acquitted of all participation in the crime.

We know enough about Obama now to recognize his operating procedure. When confronted with uncomfortable information about an associate to whom he is tied, say the connection isn't that tight. Then if that doesn't work, say it's all nonsense and people are getting their facts wrong. Then if that doesn't work, say he's not the guy you knew and disown him.

With Rahm he sort of tried the first step by saying there was no contact and then ammending it to "no inappropriate" contact by "staff". Now he is saying it is all nonsense and people have their facts wrong. Will he get to tossing Rahm under the bus? And will the media just look the other way again as they did with Ayers, Right, Rezko, etc?

Until the transcripts of the tapes are released (other than the snippets in the Fitz complaint) Obama can claim that Emanuel did nothing wrong because...Emanuel said he did nothing wrong. When the empirical truth of the actual recordings/transcript are known, if Emanuel is found to have lied then Obama can claim...Emanuel lied.

"Obama’s aides plan to release a report this week absolving Rahm Emanuel" Hitler's aides absolve Der Fuhrer of any wrong doing or nastiness to the Jews. Steven Spielberg aides release report that the last Indiana Jones movie really was AWESOME and that anyone who didn't like it is just a jerk.

Interesting distinction.

If they had exonerated him, they would have found him guiltless.

But if they ‘absolve’ him - they recognise that he has done wrong, but they forgive him.

I think the slimey Emanuel is far too cunning for this to happen. My bet is that any conversations he had with Obama on this matter were covertly recorded on Emanuel’s IPod...

This reminds me of an old Peanuts cartoon in which Lucy had all the other kids sign a document that "absolved" her. When Charlie Brown asked her what it absolved her of, she replied that it absolved her from any thing that was done at anytime and anywhere. Charlie said that it would probably be a nice document to have.

Has Bozo said exactly how he is going to absolve this guy of crimes if the FBI has him on tape making a deal? I know he can pardon him after he is convicted(IF he is convicted) but to say Rahm is absolved now is just idiotic! What a frickin' clown this country has elected.

On January 20th all 93 US Attorneys including Patrick Fitzgerald will be submitting their resignations to President Obama. This is traditional when a new President takes office. Obama will then decide who to rehire and who to replace. Patrick Fitzgerald wants to be rehired.
It would not surprise me in the least if the transcripts that are eventually released to the public/media back up Obama’s claim of no complicity for Emanuel.

Why? So that when the real prosecuter’s report/cae comes out that the media can then point to the phoeny oneObama releases and argue tht it is in confict with the original report? Sorry I’ll wait for the real report.

Thinking out side the box a bit.
Fitz may have pulled the plug sooner rather than later not to protect Obama, but to protect his mole.

With so many of Obama’s friends coming from, Iran, Irag, Syria, Jordan, Serbia, India, etc.; Rahm-E, Isreal, might have good reason to be that mole.

“Fitz may have pulled the plug sooner rather than later not to protect Obama, but to protect his mole.”

That’s certainly thinking outside the box! There’s clearly disinformation being leaked, so at this juncture, we don’t know whether the account of 21 conversations is true. If it is, one would have thought Fitz would have pulled the plug sooner. It’s hard to picture 21 separate conversations without ANY deal-making afoot, unless Rahm liked chit-chatting with Blago’s boys about the weather: somehow I don’t picture that... :-)

“Blogo was just talking to himself on all those tapes.”

I heard he just dialed a wrong number. Anything Rahm was heard to say on that call was in response to a conversation RE was having with someone else in the same room with him. But only Rahm’s voice got picked up at Blago’s end cuz Rahm’s cell phone was in his pocket and inadvertently got switched on. It’s all just a big coincidence and misunderstanding. Nothing to see here.

May have been too close to being entrapment and Fitz didn’t want to endanger other things he had on Blank-O????

Something is just not right and after reading the attached have become even more skeptic of everything in press/on line etc.

IMO Both sides are using “mind games”. It’s all a charade.

Explanation of how Axelrod methods works to control minds.
