Obama team probe of Obama team finds no Obama team impropriety (Believe it or not the LA Times)
The Los Angeles Times ^ | 12/23/2008 | Andrew Malcolm

Posted on 12/23/2008 3:44:26 PM PST by Smogger

The Barack Obama presidential transition office today finally released its own report on its own internal investigation of its own contacts with legally challenged Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich. And you'll be comforted to know the Obama folks found no impropriety whatsoever by Obama folks.

So go back to wrapping holiday presents or pretending you're working at your desk and checking out Obama's important abs. All is well with the coming World of Change.

Speaking of tidy packages, the five-page report was not released in the morning as things are when public attention is desired.

It was released at 4:30 Eastern time to provide minimal exam time before the network news. But that's probably a coincidence.

Suprisingly critical report from the LA Times political blogger. It's only the blogger, but compared how little skepticism the rest of the MSM is treating the report with it's a breath of fresh air.

And the beat go’s on. This is so completely obvious only the MSM could not figger it out. What a bunch of useless idiots. Hannity was right journalism is dead. This is pure propaganda.

The headline alone is more honest than the rest of the news reports I have seen so far. My hope of hopes is that the Governor’s defense team decides that it is in his interest to start leaking facts to place the attention on somebody more newsworthy. ;^)

Dominant media`s in the tank. Imagine the uproar if Cheney investigated himself over something equally similar and pronounced himself innocent !?

The left-wing media would excoriate him and demand a special counsel to investigate.

So debilitating and demoralizing to think this is just the beginning of how bad it`s gonna get.

There may, however, be some future amendments. The Obama team did not keep phone logs, so their contact list was developed from memory, which may or may not match the federal wiretap chronology if it's ever released.

You ain't kidding. ABC's report on Obama's report results was triumphant in tone.

Its becoming increasingly comedic.

Meanwhile, Governor Blago’s team has released a report absolving him of any wrongdoing...

We are now waiting to hear from the Charles Manson team’s report...

My favorite line:

Emanuel, the transition team told Huffington Post today, has just a little bit ago -- in fact, we just missed him -- left for a long-planned family vacation in that place that every North Side Chicago family dreams of visiting for the year-end holidays, somewhere in Africa. We're not told the area code. Likely on a safari. With no cell coverage, of course. So he's not around to talk.

Nixon oculd have done four times as well. I’m sure that Halderman, Ehrlichman, Mitchell and Dean all four would have cleared him, with no need for Archibald Cox, Carl Bernstein, or Bob Woodward. I guess the GOP will never catch up with the Dems on handling their own corruption (and I’m proud of that).

I mean the AP report I read dutifully repeated the line “long-planned family vacation.”

Gimme a break.

President-elect Barack Obama's transition office said in a report released Tuesday that its staff had no inappropriate communications with the office of Democratic Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who is at the center of a corruption probe.

Anyone know if Fitz’s office has publicly said they asked Obama to hold the release of the report for a few days??

Why is something, a no big deal, a so what, handled as a crime has been committed, is there something there, appears to be.

Why do I still believe this assessment of the situation to be totally improbable?

Because how much credibility does it really imply?

Get ready for a scandal a week when Osama takes office.

IMO the lib media will not, absolutely not, be able to cover for what goes in this administration unless there is a national emergenct and news sources have to be shut down.

Reminds me of my grandchildren being asked if they poopied in their pants, watching them look briefly, and saying “No!” even though there was a loaf present.

So Obami checked Obami’s drawers, looked at Obami’s mess, and Obami said there was nothing there. Guess I can believe him, can’t I?
