(Hawaii – 12/23/08) – In informal discussions today with reporters during his holiday in Hawaii, Barack Obama said that people having to work during Christmas week is yet another example in a long line of failed Bush policies.
“I find it hard to believe, during the week of the biggest holiday during the year, people have to actually continue working in order to afford the things they want. According to reports, this has been the worst Christmas season in years, and the problem is, you know, people can’t get to stores because they have to work. It’s a testament to failed Bush policies and his reluctance to look after the working class that it has come to this. It’s the fault of his abhorrent, backwards policies carefully implemented over 8 years of rule.”
“It may take 4 years to overcome this decent into madness, but rest assured, my following 8 years after the first 4 will correct the situation and ensure all Americans will be able to take the complete week off, with pay and insurance, to right this seriously listing ship. Look at me, I’m about to take over the toughest job in the world, yet I’m able to take the week off to frolic in the surf and have my picture taken. All Americans are equal, we should all have this chance.”

I'd think most companies will give off this Thursday and Friday and next Thursday. If someone takes off four days next week, they end up with a week-and-a-half vacation. I don't think most mind working Monday through Wed. of this week for that.
