Ann Coulter: MY TRIUMPH OVER KWANZAA! (Obama Endorses??)

MY TRIUMPH OVER KWANZAA!
December 24, 2008

Is it just me, or does Kwanzaa seem to come earlier and earlier each year?

This year, I believe my triumph over this synthetic holiday is nearly complete. The only mentions of Kwanzaa I've seen are humorous ones. Most important, for the first time in eight years, President George Bush appears not to have issued "Kwanzaa greetings" to honor this phony non-Christian holiday that is younger than I am.

It is a fact that Kwanzaa was invented in 1966 by a black radical FBI stooge, Ron Karenga, aka Dr. Maulana Karenga. Karenga was a founder of United Slaves, a violent nationalist rival to the Black Panthers and a dupe of the FBI.

In what was probably ultimately a foolish gamble, during the madness of the '60s the FBI encouraged the most extreme black nationalist organizations in order to discredit and split the left. The more preposterous the organization, the better. Using that criterion, Karenga's United Slaves was perfect. In the annals of the American '60s, Karenga was the Father Gapon, stooge of the czarist police.

Despite modern perceptions that blend all the black activists of the '60s, the Black Panthers did not hate whites. They did not seek armed revolution. Those were the precepts of Karenga's United Slaves. United Slaves were proto-fascists, walking around in dashikis, gunning down Black Panthers and adopting invented "African" names. (That was a big help to the black community: How many boys named "Jamal" currently sit on death row?)

Whether Karenga was a willing dupe, or just a dupe, remains unclear. Curiously, in a 1995 interview with Ethnic NewsWatch, Karenga matter-of-factly explained that the forces out to get O.J. Simpson for the "framed" murder of two whites included: "the FBI, the CIA, the State Department, Interpol, the Chicago Police Department" and so on. Karenga should know about FBI infiltration. (He further noted that the evidence against O.J. "was not strong enough to prohibit or eliminate unreasonable doubt" -- an interesting standard of proof.)

In the category of the-gentleman-doth-protest-too-much, back in the '70s, Karenga was quick to criticize rumors that black radicals were government-supported. When Nigerian newspapers claimed that some American black radicals were CIA operatives, Karenga publicly denounced the idea, saying, "Africans must stop generalizing about the loyalties and motives of Afro-Americans, including the widespread suspicion of black Americans being CIA agents."

Now we know that the FBI fueled the bloody rivalry between the Panthers and United Slaves. In one barbarous outburst, Karenga's United Slaves shot to death Black Panthers Al "Bunchy" Carter and Deputy Minister John Huggins on the UCLA campus. Karenga himself served time, a useful stepping-stone for his current position as a black studies professor at California State University at Long Beach.

(Sing to "Jingle Bells")
Kwanzaa bells, dashikis sell
Whitey has to pay;
Burning, shooting, oh what fun
On this made-up holiday!

Times are tough all over. Maybe those mass Chinese producers of the Kwanzaa memorabilia and such should seek a bailout....

Is a Kwanzaa the same thing as a Kwallmie?

The reason we are NOT hearing about Kwazy Kwanzaa is the specter of it being replaced by the celebration of the Black Messiah's birthday - Barack Hussein Soetero 0bama - every August 4.

I have taught my 7-year old son all about Ron Karenga, and that Kwanzaa is a fake holiday created by a violent felon. I told him he may freely express his knowledge in class where appropriate. His classes (and my daughters) have a lot of black kids in them. Not a single one of them celebrates Kwanzaa. As a Jew I am especially disgusted by Karenga’s stealing of the menorah as a symbol. I urge all parents to educate their kids and encourage them to ridicule the fraud of Kwanzaa in class.

Not true. Horowitz had their number. I recommend the essays on Huey Newton in “Destructive Generation”.

You go, Annie!!

Get ready for this. Kwanzaa was mentioned in my parish’s church bulletin under Saint days and “special observances.” I phoned the parish and let it rip, was told this info was copied from the archdiocese website.

I attend outside my parish anyway, but you would have barfed hearing this gal: “The faith of Kwanzaa is much like our own. We in the Catholic church honor other faiths.”

I told her the history of Kwanzaa and said, maybe we should start honoring our own faith. I was livid, no surprise though considering who the Cardinal is... Mahony.

Kwanzaa depends on black alienation from the broader American culture, and that alienation has greatly decreased. And besides, Kwanzaa has never been very popular, probably because it competes with Christmas, and offends against most blacks’ allegiance to Christianity. And for those alienated enough to become Muslims, Islam has its own holidays, and Kwanzaa isn’t one of them.

Christianity liberates everyone, proclaiming that we are all equal before God. "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28). Not surprisingly, it was practitioners of that faith who were at the forefront of the abolitionist and civil rights movements.

Worth remembering this Christmas Eve...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

I remember being in college in the 90s and there's be lavish Kwanzaa displays in the dorms. Now I'm in the military and we still see Kwanzaa among the lists of winter holidays. Yet, like most, I don't know of a single soul that celebrates this holiday. Does anyone know anybody anywhere who knows of a single family who has ever celebrated Kwanzaa?

I'd be curious if any kind of census was taken of people who celebrate this.

Kwanzaa strikes me as a 1970s relic of multiculturalism that peaked after a few years yet for PC reasons, America still feels a need to acknowledge it. Nobody has the stones to say Kwanzaa is a joke, so year after year we treat it as a solemn occasion and a treasured part of the rich cultural heritage of black America despite the fact that nobody (except maybe a handful of white liberals) celebrates this holiday.

Sarah Palin: Conservative of the Year

By Ann Coulter

Sarah Palin wins HUMAN EVENTS’ prestigious “Conservative of the Year” Award for 2008 for her genius at annoying all the right people. The last woman to get liberals this hot under the collar would have been … let's see now … oh, yeah: Me!

The entire presidential election year was kind of a downer for conservatives. Once the “maverick” John McCain won the nomination, the rest of the year was like watching a slow motion car crash. Except at least a slow-motion car crash is occasionally entertaining. So it was going to be a long year.

Ann Coulter
Sarah Palin: Conservative of the Year
by Ann Coulter
12/22/2008

I didn't know Coulter did exclusive articles for Human Events.

More from that article:

Liberals also suddenly decided that a woman with children could not handle the stress of higher office. Until Palin reared her beautiful head, this is precisely the sort of thinking liberals would have denounced as the Neanderthal, backwards, good old boy network attitude that had created a “glass ceiling.”

Let’s consider the facts: Palin’s oldest son was about to be under the tender care of Gen. David Petraeus after being shipped off to Iraq. Her next oldest child was about to be married and probably would prefer that her parents butt out. That left three children under the age of 15, which was almost the same as Obama had.

So Palin had one more child -- and a lot more executive experience -- than the guy at the top of the Democrats’ ticket. (I suspect what liberals were really mad about was that if Palin became Vice President, she probably would have hired a nanny who was a U.S. citizen.)

Having indignantly rejected experience as a presidential qualification in the case of Obama, liberals had to raise questions about Palin’s experience gingerly. But, in short order, they threw caution to the wind and began energetically criticizing Palin for her lack of experience. I call that two … two … two standards in one!

Like most Democrats, both Obama and Biden boasted of their humble beginnings, while having fully adopted the attitudes, pomposity and style of the elites.

Meanwhile, Palin is the sort of genuine American that brings out the worst, most egregious pomposity of liberals. For weeks, Carl Bernstein was showing up on TV to announce: “We still don’t have the date of first issuance of her passport.” Members of the establishment would be astonished to learn that more Americans have guns than passports.

Palin blows a kiss to fans during a rally in Kissimmee, Fla., on October 26. (Burbank/Orlando Sentinel/MCT)
Liberals were angry at Palin because they thought she should look and act like Kay Bailey Hutchinson: Upper crust, prissy and stiff.

Palin had a husband in the Steelworkers Union, a sister and brother-in-law who owned a gas station, and five attractive children -- one headed for Iraq, one a Down’s syndrome baby and one the cutest little girl anyone had ever seen.

In a nutshell, Palin was everything Democrats are always pretending to be, but never are.

She didn’t have to conjure up implausible images of herself duck hunting as Hillary Clinton did. Nor was Palin the typical Democratic elected female official who went straight from college into politics, like Nita Lowey.

No kawanza mentioned in this neck of the woods. Our elementary music teacher used to have one song about Kwanza a number of years ago. I told her to read up on Karenga. She was disgusted by his actions.
