Sanford, like Pawlenty, puts me to sleep. I can’t imagine him going toe-to-toe with “the One” personality or charisma-wise.....as we saw this last go-around, with campaigns now becoming so media-driven (and internet-driven), without a personality, a candidate is nada.

Jindal “may” be great, but he’s been governor a year less than Palin has. Let’s see what he accomplishes; thus far, he’s doing well but hasn’t accomplished as much as Palin did in her first 18 mos. on the job. I still can’t get a handle on his personality, either. The exorcism tape concerns me; wait until MSM gets a hold of that. At this point he’s too young to run in ‘12 IMO (as VP he’d be fine). He needs at least another 8 years or so.

I fart in Politico’s general direction.

I agree. Where’s the evidence that the $700b bailout-supporting Palin is another Churchill, Thatcher, or Reagan? When the economy gets worse, and when the government becomes incapable of doing anything but raising taxes to meet budget shortfalls, there’s going to be hell to pay for the imbeciles and schemers who supported that bill.

Bobby Jindal is vastly more experienced, knowledgeable, and has not deviated significantly from conservatism ever. Anti-illegal, anti-CAFTA, and he’ll be credible when he criticizes the bailout, unlike Palin who defended it in a mind-bogglingly inarticulate manner on television.

Expanding the size of government by taking about a trillion dollars from the taxpayer and sending it to the banks - that’s where I draw the line. Then consider what effects the implied guarantee of solvency will have on financial risk analysis done by banks in the future, i.e. the catastrophe will happen again.

That is not conservatism.

Until then I’m going with someone who has a proven trackrecord, ie, Sanford.***

Sanford? He puts me to sleep. BO will slice him in half.

Has Sanford enthused anyone?

Has he drawn massive crowds to his rallies?

Has he struck fear into the left?...****

Answer! NO! NO! NO! All good questions BTW

GREAT post - bears repeating!
