After weeks of criticism that she had not opened up to the public or the press, Ms. Kennedy has embarked on a series of interviews. But in an extensive sit-down discussion Saturday morning with The New York Times, she still seemed less like a candidate than an idea of one: forceful but vague, largely undefined and seemingly determined to remain that way.... . She provided only the broadest of rationales for her candidacy for the Senate, saying her experience as a mother, author and school fund-raiser, her commitment to public service and her deep political connections had prepared her for the job.... .
But in the interview on Saturday, she said she hoped to be a consensus-builder, and declined to describe her positions on some other pressing public issues....
Have you guys ever thought about writing for, like, a womans magazine or something? she asked the reporters. I thought you were the crack political team.
One of the main assets she could bring to the Senate, Ms. Kennedy suggested, was her celebrity itself. It would be useful, she said, in bringing attention to New Yorks needs and fighting for a bigger share of federal stimulus money....
Ms. Kennedy said she had spent some time in the Catskills and the Adirondacks; when asked her favorite place in the state outside of the city and Long Island, she said, I like visiting historical sites. I loved visiting the battlefields of Saratoga....
Asked to name an issue on which she would depart from Democratic Party orthodoxy, Ms. Kennedy seemed to have trouble identifying one....
As things wrapped up, a reporter tried to pose another question, but she interrupted him....
I think were done, she said.

I bet the horse could be trained to show up to vote more reliably.
> Q: Have you guys ever thought about writing for, like, a womans magazine or something? she asked the reporters. I thought you were the crack political team.
A: “No, we haven’t. Have you ever thought about working for, like, well for anything — like McDonalds or something? We thought you were a crack DNC Senate candidate.”
Sound like anyone we know?
I think she is confusing the battlefield with the racetrack.
There’s no “there” there.
American Royals what a sad sick joke! Amazing what a families vast fortune attained from Crime can do!
SHEEZE!
“I’m a Kennedy, damnit!”
The Obvious Question, WHAT WOULD THE TIMES HAVE WRITTEN IF THE CANDIDATE FOR NEW YORK SENATOR WAS SARAH PALIN?
What questions would Katie Couric ask CAROLINE KENNEDY?
“What questions would Katie Couric ask CAROLINE KENNEDY?”
Would you like the number for my dermatologist?
Where did you get those shoes?
Do you remember playing in the Oval Office?
Did they ask her what is the capital of Outer Bumpuckia?
Another liar that can not define define.
Prepares her to be Uncle Teddy's mouth piece? Probably as he might be stepping down fairly soon...who better than his niece......just one more liberal/progressive making rules for the hoi--polloi whilst the elitist remain above the salt and labor not.
Wow! The NYT must hate her. That’s a really bad photo of Princess!
Teddy wants his wife to inherit his Senate seat.
From what I’ve seen that’s a good picture of her.
Caroline is forceful, just like Michelle Obama is stylish and chic.
Who are you going to believe? Journalists or your own lying eyes?
D*mmit, man, she’s a Kennedy. Do you really expect her to know more than a few tens of words?
Where’s her liquor?
Where’s her smokes?
Where’s her lawyers?
The nation would be much better off if that particular, swampy puddle of the gene pool has never existed
