I bet that a lot of those that voted “condemnable” are New York Jews.
Justified and should wipe Gaza clean and force the Hamas gang into the desert forever. I’m celebrating but don’t think Israel is being tough enough. 180 dead indicates too much care is being given on choosing targets. Just carpet bomb the jerks and get it over with.
I don't know. Anyone who lives there and notices that the Israelis are killing mostly military people should appreciate it. And it that turns out not to be true, there is always the next wave of bombers...
I think it would be nice if they could just kill all the Hamas and Hezbollah supporters, and see how the rest react.
You can't un-kill someone, after all, but if you don't kill someone, you can alway fix that later, if needed.
Remember that most of those people cannot leave unless they want to try to walk out through the desert, past fanatic gunmen.
60% justifiable when I voted, and CNN was not having problems then...
“Every attempt to make war easy and safe will result in humiliation and disaster.” —William Tecumseh Sherman
If Israel had responded after the first 10 rockets were fired (instead of waiting until 10,000 had been fired),
the result might have been that the remaining 9,990 might not have been fired.
“I dont think they went far enough.”
I agree. This is one of the best things to happen to the world in weeks.
I hope and pray they kill as many Hamas, etc., as possible before they are forced to pull back and gesticulate apologies to the rest of the uncivilized world.
I thought the other choice was commendable! It should have been.
Israel is ABSOUTELY justified and should be doing more to save the lives of the innocent Jewish population who live anywhere near the border with Gaza.
41% “Condemnable”...we need the picture of the angry rabid looking Gaza guy.
Notice there aren’t any Israelis dancing in the streets or foaming at the mouth over the surgical strikes.
I only voted “Justified” because “Long Overdue” wasn’t an option.
So far: 61% justified, 39% condemnable
So what should Israel have done instead? send a sternly worded letter to the UN?
Water under the bridge, FRiend. Too late to worry about that.
Here we are, what do we do now?
I think doing a bang-up job of killing the folks who are killing their people, and anyone who sticks around while they're doing it, is more likely to be effective than indiscriminate killing. See my tagline.
They can alway escalate later, if they see no positive impact from their current actions.
If I were them, I'd be doing a LOT of counter-battery fire. Which isn't exactly what they're doing, but close.
I’m of the belief that they didn’t use Jericho 2B’s. I’m thinking more along the lines of a MIRV with Damascus, Tehran and just for giggles Mecca as targets of 20 megaton strike..... each. Oh, and Pakistan....ooops, did I just say that, my bad.
You know there’s a joke that would describe the anti-semitic mind set perfectly.
person a: you know the Jews steal?
person b: don’t other people steal to?
person a: we’re talking about the Jews now.
so you see, they’re not talking about what people in general are allowed to do when attacked - they’re talking about the Jews now.

Where do I stand? I wish I stood in front of Hamas with a freakin’ Uzi! Israel is totally justified! They’ve got every right to defend themselves from enemies who constantly barrage their country with rockets. Isn’t that common sense?
Yesterday morning my mom knocks on my door and tells me “Israel is firing rockets on Gaza.” Just when I’m thinking I can start the day with some good news, she adds “Hamas has ordered everyone into mosques for instructions on war with Israel.” This causes her to remember my application for the critical language scholarship to study Arabic in Jordan next summer. Well, Jordan is 65% Palestinian, and Palis everywhere are going to be pissed and prone to violence against Jews and Americans (more than usual, I mean), since we support Israel. And who knows what else could happen between now and summer to further escalate things.
So she tells me “You may want to reconsider going to Jordan this summer.” Great. Ever since I began studying Arabic I have wanted to visit Jordan. From a purely tourist standpoint, it’s a pretty cool place.
So curse you, Hamas. Not just for possibly ruining my trip, but for being generally evil Islamic abnaa’ kalbat (that was Arabic for SOBs).
Nuke them, strong enought?
“Do not regard what you do only as ‘preparation’ for doing the same thing more fully or better at some later time. Nothing is ever done twice. There is no next time. This is of special application to war. There is but one time to win a battle or a campaign. It must be won the first time.”
Have to love you some Patton.
The only problem with Patton was what was tied to the breach end of his leash.
As for the Hamasses, cure ‘em and smoke ‘em.
Yeah I’d like to see Petra myself. But .....
Don’t know what to tell you except that survival trumps all.
I think after all these years a measured response by Israel would be to blow up the whole block around any area a missile was launched from.
A sovereign nation has a right to defend its interests.
-Pres Elect Obama
[or something like that if those weren’t his exact words.]
And then of course there was this little classic by Obambi:
Obama, speaking to a small group of Democratic activists in Muscatine on Sunday, was quoted in the Des Moines Register as saying, Nobody is suffering more than the Palestinian people.
No one else but the Israelis’ are going to protect the Israeli State....I’m 100% with the Israeli State.
Well hey if you get a spare ticket, I’ll go. :)
But I know zero Arabic. So I’ll pretend to be Canadian, LOL.
It is sooooo cool. I do believe this is the area foretold by certain Bible prophecies.
I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men. (Micah 2:12 KJV)
(Isaiah 63:1 KJV) Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in His apparel, travelling in the greatness of His strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to Save.

Yeah, it’s pretty interesting...
Is Bozrah the Hebrew spelling of Basrah or is that a coincidence?
In the King James they used “Bozrah”.
In the New American Standard they translated it as “sheep in the fold”.
NKJV uses “sheep of the fold”.
And in the YLT
Micah 2:12 (Young’s Literal Translation)
I do surely gather thee, O Jacob, all of thee, I surely bring together the remnant of Israel, Together I do set it as the flock of Bozrah, As a drove in the midst of its pasture, It maketh a noise because of man.
And day after day!
Try that during a football game or at a mall interrupting a major sale!
I wonder if this is a diversion...before they take out Iran’s nukes. all eyes on Gaza.
wouldn’t be surprised if we know that and say “Go for it, we are looking the other way.”
Heard on Fox they are readying ground troops...It ain’t over till the fat lady sings!
You mean when dumbo gives us to the un!!!
They have the right to react the same way Americans of the 1940’s reacted to the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Shocking...what kind of an effin question is this? World opinion? Why not ask the question to the Israeli’s or even better to those ISRAELI CIVILIANS who live in the southern part of their country and are under rocket and missile attack numerous times, daily. CNN should be put out of business and put their reporters on the ground in southern Israel without any indication when the next round of towel guided rockets come over the border from Gaza. Maybe then, they won’t ask such stupid inane questions in the first place!
Done. Keep Freeping

Some of us have been curious for decades about that.
Why do Israelis tolerate this abuse?
Do they in some warped way enjoy it, as many battered spouses refuse any and all attempts from outsiders to protect her from her chosen abuser?
And Israel has indeed attacked all those who acted as her allies.
Perhaps it would be wise to cordon off the entire region, and demand they wage a final conflict of war, and then destroy the winner.
How else will we get them to stop the madness?
Bomb, bomb, bomb
Bomb, bomb, Hamas!
When are you going to be in Jordan? We have decided to have our wedding party in Jordan in March & I will have friends coming in from all over the Middle East. It’s going to be massive. You are invited if you can make it.
"Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us.
Peace will come when an Arab leader is courageous enough to wish it."
The wedding parties will go on for 4 days. At least half the people will end up staying for the week. I’ll stay a couple of days longer because of shabbat. From March 16-23 (Middle Eastern time).
Spring break is March 18-30, so I could make it if it’s OK with my family. I will have to ask.
