“The only Republican politician I know of who can be trusted to fight big government across the board is Ron Paul.”
Yes, he’s good on that issue. And it’s not his fault that so many of his supporters are just flat out FREAKIN’ NUTS and that the stench of that rubbed off a little on him.
That nut?
He might be right on everything. He might be conservative, pro-life, pro-RKBA, pro-border security, etc. He might be principled. He might put the security of America in front of security of foreign countries. He might have actual understanding of the economy and the world. He might be a highly respected doctor and dedicated husband. He might have led the Texas delagation to nominate Reagan.
But he's a kook. Someone on an Internet forum told me.

” Her name is NOT Palin. Memories are short here. It was only this month that she proposed a socialist health care plan “for children” in Alaska. The only Republican politician I know of who can be trusted to fight big government across the board is Ron Paul. “
Yeah, haven’t had a good chance to take a close look at that. If that’s the case, it’s disappointing. Also troubling was what she’s said about parents of the handicapped having a friend in the White House (which could mean more big daddy spending for a pet cause).
What is unknown about Palin is the extent to which, like Bush, whether she’d buckle on big spending for pet causes under pressure or be able to level an articulate, coherent defense of tough-love, free-market economic policy making, especially when it’s hard. Don’t know. Bush could not.
I’d add that North Carolina’s (?) Sanford also looks interesting.

Could you repost that link — it was a dead link.
Unless you know something others here don't, that article states no plans on the Government taking over the health care industry or raising additional taxes and redistributing the wealth to poor and sickly children.
