“Iran activating its proxies”
By Olivier Guitta
(December 30, 2008)
Unfortunately our gee whiz leaders like Secretary Rice, and Powell are pressuring Israel to back off and accept another truce. We also want Israel to give up even more land like the Golan Heights. Some of my family live in Israel and Im considering going there in the future and running for political office just so I can tell the US to mind its own freaking business. Because of our arrogance, we made Israel lose to Hezbollah, and now Hezbollah controls even more land in Lebanon. Thank god, Israel ignored the US, and decided to take out the nuclear facility in Syria for the good of the world. I know that people in Israel are ready for a change of face in US politics because they are getting tired of being told the terms of how to defend themselves.

“Managing Gaza”
ARTICLE SNIPPET: “Israels operation in Gaza is reaching a critical point. While talking heads will debate grand strategy, the options are limited. Behind the headlines is the crucial issue of how Israels national security process works (or doesnt in light of the weaknesses revealed in the 2006 Lebanon war). The next moves will demonstrate whether or not Israel has successfully incorporated the lessons from the failures of the 2006 Lebanon War. This is crucial to re-establishing Israeli deterrence.
Strategic Limitations
A true peace agreement with Hamas is not realistic. A quick scan of clips from Hamas al-Aqsa network or of statements by Hamas leaders from the Middle East Media Research Institute - particularly horrible are these scenes from Hamas produced childrens television - should disabuse all but the most useful idiots of any notions of a moderate Hamas.”

U.S. Military Team in Israel Reported Safe Despite Attacks
By Donna Miles
American Forces Press Service
WASHINGTON, Dec. 30, 2008 About 100 U.S. European Command soldiers, airmen and Marines deployed to Israel to help set up an early warning radar system reported no close encounters with air strikes or retaliatory attacks along the Gaza Strip, a Eucom spokesman said.
The Palestinian militant group Hamas refused to renew a ceasefire agreement with Israel when it expired Dec. 19, and began stepping up rocket attacks on civilian targets in Israel. Israel, in turn, began launching airstrikes against Gaza Strip targets Dec. 27 in an effort to eliminate Hamas ability to fire rockets into Israeli territory.
Air Force Lt. Col. John Dorrian confirmed Stars and Stripes report that the Eucom team is operating on an Israeli air base nowhere near the targeted areas.
The Eucom troops deployed to Israel to help set up an Army/Navy Transportable Radar Surveillance system, Dorrian confirmed. The Israeli government requested the system to help defend against a potential missile attack from Iran.
Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates signed off on the deployment order in mid-September, Pentagon Press Secretary Geoff Morrell confirmed during a Sept. 30 news conference.
Once fully operational, the system will be capable of tracking and identifying small objects at long distance and at very high altitude, including space, according to U.S. Missile Defense Agency officials. It also will integrate Israels missile defenses with the U.S. global missile detection network.
This will enable the Israelis to track medium- and long-range ballistic missiles multiple times better than their current radar allows them to, Morrell said. It will more than double the range of Israel’s missile defense radars and increase its available engagement time.
This, he said, will greatly enhance Israels defensive capabilities.
There is a growing ballistic missile threat in the region, particularly from Iran, Morrell said. And no one in the region should feel more nervous about that threat than the Israelis. And they clearly do, and they have asked for our assistance. And we have now provided it in the form of this X-band radar equipment.
About 120 U.S. servicemembers initially deployed to Israel to set up the system, a number Dorrian said is now down to about 100.
Morrell estimated that the system will take about half that many U.S. personnel to operate once it is up and running. This is and will remain a U.S. radar system, he said. This is not something we are giving or selling to the Israelis.
The system, he said, is another sign of U.S. commitment to Israel. We are committed to the Israelis, to Israels defense, Morrell said.
Meanwhile, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice expressed concern about escalating violence in Gaza.
We strongly condemn the repeated rocket and mortar attacks against Israel and hold Hamas responsible for breaking the ceasefire and for the renewal of violence there, Rice said in a statement. The ceasefire must be restored immediately and fully respected. The United States calls on all concerned to protect innocent lives and to address the urgent humanitarian needs of the people of Gaza.

Cold dead look in her eyes, huh?
I see this ‘look’ often in fanatical islamists, there is something about it unique to islam, dead soul maybe?
Guess that’s what happens when you worship satan, murderer & father of lies, it leaves you completely empty.
When one becomes empty the evil one moves in.
Nature abhors a vacuum.
Nature abhors a vacuum.

worse than a dead soul.
It is a soul knowingly giving to darkness.
Deep within, they know to whom they belong.
Dead soul has the implication of lack of life and while also true, I think it is much more sinister that a lack of something it is the desire for evil.
...just my thoughts.

IRANIANS ATTACK Jordanian Embassy— Firebomb Saudi Airline Office
Gateway Pundit ^ | December 30, 2008 | Gateway Pundit
Posted on December 30, 2008 7:16:03 PM PST by Free ThinkerNY
From the Iranian media websites:
The Jordanian Embassy in Tehran was attacked with explosives, at midnight Tehran time, last night. The Embassy spokesman has confirmed this report. Several Jordanian citizens were inside the embassy during the attack; no one however sustained any injuries. The spokesman also said that he was not certain about the identity of those responsible for the attacks.
It is important to mention that according to Rooz web site, elements of the regime who call themselves the Basiji Students, have via SMS called for the invasion of the Egyptian interest section in Tehran (Egypt has not had an embassy in Tehran since Tehran’s regime praised Khalid Eslamboli, member of the Egytpian Islamic Jihadand murderer of Anwar Sadat).
Yesterday also, the Mash’had branch of the Basiji Students, gathered and took to violently protesting in front of the main gates of the Saudi Arabian consulate, located on Mojallal-Sawjed Boulevard in Mash’had. They chanted slogans against Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan. One of the slogans was: “Woe is you, if Khamenei gives me my orders of Jihad” which indicated a call to holy war by the Iranian supreme leader against Saudi Arabia .
They also took to throwing rocks and heavy objects through the windows of the consulate building. They also carried placards that had the words TRAITOR, COWARD and WHORE written on them. According to the Rooz reporter, at 12:30 pm the demonstration reached a fever pitch where protestors began hurling Molotov Cocktails at the building which landed on the other side of the embassy grounds on Molavi Avenue, leading to a massive fire.

Grad rocket strikes south of Beersheba; no wounded reported
By JPOST.COM STAFF
A Grad-type rocket struck south of Beersheba on Wednesday morning.
Nobody was wounded in the latest attack, and no damage was reported.
well isn’t THAT interesting?
So - instead of sending suicide bombers into pizza shops to murder innocent men, women, and children having a birthday party - the Israelis try to warn the civilians?
And whose side is the UN on again?
“...the Israelis try to warn the civilians?”
That something that apparently is unique to Israel.
I’ve read about it in a number of article since 9/11.
IF YOU LIVE OR ARE VISITING ISRAEL; PLEASE REMEMBER TO OBEY ALL SIRENS, ALERTS, AND BULLETINS. Thank you.
well - by now they must be used to the tactic the islamofascists like to use - placing their military targets within the civilian population to maximize their own civilian casualties.
They’ve learned well how to make Israel look bad to the namby pambies in Europe and at the UN.
Israel is onto their game.
