A Denver firm has recalled about 172 pounds of burritos that may be contaminated with Listeria monocyto genes, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Tuesday.
The recall by Home Fresh Sandwich Distributors Inc. involved 5.3-ounce packages of "7-Eleven Fresh to Go burrito with potatoes, bacon, eggs & Montery Jack cheese" with a best by date of "Thursday 1225."
Consumers may have purchased these burrito products on Dec. 24 and 25. The food-safety service has received no reports of illnesses associated with consumption of this product.
And saved them until now???????.............
The burrito packages probably say “good until Nov. 2011”.
“Consumers may have purchased these burrito products on Dec. 24 and 25”
...the typical fat ass that buys his/her burritos from 7-11, has them eaten before they get to the car.
A bad burrito is kinda “self-recalling”.
That which does not kill you... tortures your co-workers.
Listeria is a death sentence.
“A bad burrito is kinda self-recalling.”
And by definition, a Seven-Eleven burrito is bad.
The article is weird. It says “genes”...........
You’ve got to be real trashed to even consider eating a 7-11 burrito.
>>>A bad burrito is kinda self-recalling.
None the less, you can’t get a refund on it once ‘processed’ and “self-recalled”.
Well, diarrhea is hereditary...
Real trashed. And it should be nuked twice, just to play it safe.
Mmmmm... Christmas burrito at 7~11
Add a slurpee and its a fabulous holiday celebration!
One you’ll remember for years and years............
Germs? Genes? Doesn't the Denver Post have proofreaders amymore?
Maybe the burritos escaped from a secret genetic experiment...
A long time ago, I had a Dr. Demento LP, with one song that included the lyrics:
“Bring a load-a, RC cola, TV Dinner, plate-a Twinkies, it takes a pink burrito, for to keep me clean.”
Jack in the crack was the only place open here this Christmas.
The place was packed! I cant believe how many people ate there for their Christmas meal.
You literally couldn’t get in the parking lot
Ah! It should be “Listeria monocytogenes”... no space between the monocyto and the genes.
