More "Babies, Lies" and Sarah Palin...Is Andrew Sullivan writing the headlines at Yahoo now?
Yahoo and US Weekly ^ | Jan 04, 2009 | Yahoo and Us Weekly

Yahoo has done Andrew Sullivan proud with their headlines.
....and doesn't this have a "deja vue" ring to it?

And, didn't we just see this same media trick in September?

Of course the article has to go on to mention that the babies Father-Levi Johnston mothers was recently arrested on Drug Charges.

Johnston's mother, Sherry, was arrested on drug charges earlier this month after an undercover narcotics investigation.

Even her home state newspaper-Anchorage Daily News, is relentless with its attacks on Palin as recently as yesterday it accuses Palin of thinking she is above the law:

"Now it appears the governor may have found a new way to skirt the rules. How is it possible that the governor's soon-to-be son-in-law, Levi Johnston, is working as an apprentice on the North Slope?"

Newsbusters recently showed CNN's lack of morality, surprise, surpise:

"Showing they have no sense of morality, no grasp of corruption and no understanding of what defines a criminal, CNN gives us another one of those ubiquitous year in review stories, this one titled "Politicians who fell from grace in 2008." In this one, CNN has decided to reveal for us their top eight politicians that found 2008 to be a "career-buster" because of their "crimes and misdemeanors" or their outrageous controversies."

Honestly I hope they keep up with their smears, it just makes Palin more popular and they just look like a bunch of schoolyard bullies that already got the lunch money but still won't let up.

CNN and Yahoo are both anti-American left wing offspring of ?????. No truth can be expected of either. Hopefully they will both go broke but then the left is in charge so they will get bail outs.

As the Senate destroyed Robert Bork to prevent him from being seated on the USSC — solely because they disagreed with his political views — and as the left attacked Bush with a vitriol that has come to be known as Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS), so the left and the MSM will shift their focus to the next ‘hope’ of conservatives: Sarah Palin.

Did we think that the next 4 years would be of “peace and prosperity” because the leftists managed to cajole the American people into voting for a Marxist/communist? Well, that would typically be their tactic, to stop attacking Republicans and conservatives to help create the illusion of everyone getting along.

But that won't happen this time. They want to drive the nail in the coffin of America. They will shift their BDS to PDS and will Bork her with every trick and smear they can.

This may be being driven by Sarah’s “I’m not going to Washington to please the media” comment, at least to some extent.

I’ve got to admit, I wondered about an 18-year-old high school student’s eligibility for an electrician’s apprentice program when I heard Levi was enrolled in one.

I noticed the headline when I checked my email. Did anyone happen to see Parade magazine last week? They had a list of politcal highs and lows, biased towards the Dems/against the Repubs. One of the “highs” for the Obama campaign was that they had so many small donors! I was thinking about those fake donors but couldn’t remember the funny names used.

I agree that it seems a bit shady that Levi Johnston got into the apprentice program. Apparently a high school diploma is a requirement (he is still working on his), and there are waiting lists with 100 names on them to be in the program. There are many suggesting that he got help with his connections to move to the front of the line. I hope it’s not true.

Oh look! We have a newbie anti-Palin conspiracy theorist! Just joined FR in November. Who directed you here? Chairman Axelrod?

I'm sure now you'll go on to explain to us that you're a "life long conservative" but "Palin turned you off" because "she's not a real conservative" or "she's a sure loser" and is "divisive".

I see right through your bullsh*t, you miserable little leftist weasel. Go back to your Kos playground.

I’m sure it happens all the time, but it seemed he might not meet whatever minimum standard, let alone make the outward queue for a spot. And, that’s potentially exploitable against the political position of his future mother-in-law. It might be better first, that he didn’t (if he did) get jumped in the line—with a reported $7 million book advance his future in-laws might have found another way to help—and second, that she hadn’t publicized his having the slot if he was.

What the hell is so difficult about it? Go to the governor's website and there's a link at the side of the page to apprenticeship jobs just like this one! The state is ramping up for a building boom. They've got TransCanada and the Denali project people working on the infrastructure for the natural gas pipeline. The whole story started by Dan Fagan, a radio talk show host who has hated Palin from the moment she decided to run for governor in 2006.

She doesn’t have any $7 million book deal. And there is absolutely no evidence that she had anything to do with his job. And how the hell do you know so much about apprentice jobs in Alaska?

I’ve been a Palin supporter since last summer, but this is among the minimum requirements for apprenticeship via her official web page link, as you suggested:

“High School Diploma or GED equivalency is required. Applicant must provide an official transcript(s) for high school and post high school education and training. All GED records must be submitted if applicable. Some programs require completion of high school level Algebra or the post secondary equivalent.”

Sorry, but I had a student who also went into the electricians’ apprentice program straight out of high school. When so many students spend money on a college education, the need for electricians is great. If they do well on a aptitude test, have had some technology classes in high school, then high school grads (and he is in his last year...so he is almost graduated and is probably getting his GED) can get into the program

As it was noted, the guy is completing his GED. The director of his apprenticeship program didn't even know if there was such a requirement.

I can't even believe I'm responding to this story. There is no story. There's innuendo.
