Hamas must not be allowed to win its conflict with the Israel Defense Forces, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak told a delegation of European foreign ministers in a closed conversation Monday.

Grasp of the obvious?
“Hamas, for the first time since the fighting began, sent representatives to Cairo to discuss a cease-fire.”
The Israelis should offer a choice of terms:
1. Surrender unconditionally, submit peacefully to permanent re-occupation and vacate the region within three days.
or...
2. Die an agonizing and fiery death, followed by a showering of pig blood.
I would prefer the Israelis just deliver the second, no other options.
But...but...but...I thought all muslims were BROTHERS?!?!!?!?
Is this allowed by the Quran?!?

Pig blood sounds great, but the Hebrews are not going to be delivering the liquid....
Well, my brother and I get along real good for about 30 minutes....
Cant and mendacity are the mother’s milk of international diplomacy. So when someone in that milieu actually speaks the truth, it’s pretty stunning.
Option #3. Denny’s restaurants are openned all over Gaza and all residents must eat bacon and eggs for breakfast. OK, how about Red Lobster restaurants, free clam chowder and oysters for all!!
Many Israelis might object to the “showering of pig blood”. I wonder how many red heifers it would take to cleanse the whole Strip. Besides, if they got hold of a pure red heifer, I can think of other piece of real state in Israel that needs cleansing even more than the Gaza Strip. I’m talking about the Temple Mount!

Ain’t it though?
Is he dead yet?
OK, cease fire.
or, is it possible that you have misunderstood the true situation all along ?
I think it is
Apparently, Hamas has quite the following in Egypt. Mubarak knows this and is acting in self-preservation.
I don’t know, I think if there was that much concern in Egypt, they would remove the fence and let them in.
