San Francisco Mayor Newsom and the Board of Supervisors have shown nothing but contempt for the First Amendment rights of Catholics.
Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, in the heart of San Farncisco's gay Castro community, was vandalized over the weekend by opponents of Proposition 8, the California resolution passed by voters in November that rejected gay marriage. Swastikas were painted on the church and the names Ratzinger (referring to Pope Benedict XVI) and Niederauer (the San Francisco Archbishop) were scrawled besides the Nazi symbol.
In the wake of Proposition 8, innocent persons have been assaulted, churches have been vandalized, a white substance resembling anthrax was sent to the Knights of Columbus and to Mormon temples, supporters of traditional marriage have been branded Nazis, African-Americans have been called the 'N-word,' houses have been trashed, etc. Unfortunately, most of those in the gay community have been silent about these acts...

In Lansing, Michigan - after Prop 8 passed - gay activists stormed a Catholic Church, disrupted the service, and shouted over and over again, "Jesus was a homo."
BTW, it was the Nazis who were into defacing things - Jewish businesses and places of worship.

I've said the same thing. God forgive me but I would be filled with righteous anger if that were to happen in my Church during Mass.
While the church goers should have done more to stop the gay mafia storming into their church, you shouldn’t direct comments towards them, but to the gays who stormed into the church.
While the men (Or women) in that church should have done more to stop what was going on, the attention need not be misplaced on those who could have done more, but placed on the gays who stormed the church.
Isn't it amazing how the behavior of the silent majority in the gay community parallels the same silent majority in the Muslim community?
Surely there are gays who detest such protests and violence. Why do they not speak out?
This doesn’t help their cause, to say the least. Calling people Nazis and the n-word ain’t exactly the best way to convince people to vote for their perverted dream. What was that thing about “equality” that they gripe about?
Why do they not speak out? Probably because they are few and far between, and don’t want the angry hateful homosexuals coming after them.
In acts like this, I believe the perps should always be described by referencing their deed. In this case, don’t call them a sweet name like ‘gays’, it is much more fitting to refer to them as ‘criminal vandals’.
“Gay” used to be a nice, warm and fuzzy word. It’s nice no longer, sadly.

If the men of that church tried to throw them out a fight would have surely taken place. Guess what the San Francisco Newspaper would have printed. Something like “Catholics attack gays who tried to worship”. They did the right thing.
Gays, why on earth the Roman Catholic Church? Of all Christian Churches RC’s are among the most welcoming. Don’t let these flamos get in the way of your love for the RC Church.

How do they know it was gays who did this? I read the article nowhere did it mention any arrests. Without any evidence it looks just like every other anti-gay puff piece used to stir up hate. How did I do?

We attended a pro-marriage rally a few years back in Massachusetts. The rally was comprised of mostly elderly people. The pro-sodmy marriage activists showed up, surrounded us, and shouted and chanted harrassing comments during the entire event. While we prayed, they shouted “Seig Heil!” and mocked us. They were definitely scaring some of the elderly people. When we returned to our car, someone had kicked our “Jesus” license plate and cracked it. A police officer was present at the rally but did nothing of course. The homosexual rights movement is statistically the most violent of them all.
Radical homosexuals also like to refer to heterosexuals derisively as “hets” or “breeders.” I was told by a lesbian once that I was not a true feminist since I wasn’t lesbian. This movement is anything but tolerant.
Since Prop 8 passed, acts such as this have been the prevailing MO for radical homosexuals.

Since Prop 8 passed, Mormon churches (and it was Mornmons who put alot of $$$ into getting Prop 8 passed) have had white powder mailed to them, other churches have been vandalized, this church which had the Swastika painted on it is the same one which had homosexuals come in dressed mockingly as nuns with their faces painted, a Lansing, Michigam had radical homosexuals come into it shouting “Jesus was a homo,” disrupting the church service.
Nah, it must have been aliens from Mars which defaced this church.

That is where the attention is being put in the article as it should. I was responding to a comment about doing something about the fascist homosexuals. I don't think the original poster was taking away any of the blame from the fascists.

Ironically, Most Holy Redeemer parish in SFO is probably the most “gay-friendly” Catholic parish on earth. I doubt that any member of that church voted for Proposition 8. If they did, they sure wouldn’t admit it.
Obviously the yellow bastards picked this particular church solely because it offered the least possibility that they would have the crap kicked out of them.
