Troopers union backs off on allegations (Sarah Exonerated Again!)
Anchorage Daily News ^ | 01.05.2009 | TOM KIZZIA

The union representing state troopers has backed off allegations that a drug investigation of Sherry Johnston was slowed down last fall to shield the national candidacy of Gov. Sarah Palin.

An inquiry Monday by officials for the Public Safety Employees Association concluded that investigators did not delay a search warrant for political reasons, said union president Rob Cox. Charges of political meddling erupted last week because of misunderstandings between investigators working on the case and senior state public safety officials, Cox said.

two of the scariest words in the colloquial lexicon: “trooper” and “union.” Together, they ought to put the fear of God in everyone.

The Left will never remember this part of the story, only that the allegation was made ... We’ll be hearing about this again when Gov Palin runs in 2012. Just like the media didn’t acknowledge that the state senator running the “Troopergate” investigation was a hardcore Obama supporter.

The damage is done, but at least the truth was published. You know the liberals mantra, "It's not the facts of the charges, it's the severity of the accusations that counts"

At least as far as conservatives are concerned.

Liberals get a pass of course.

Union leaders are the scourge of society. Most have democrat bias and are very political. They let their political bias color the facts, as here. If I was the Governor, I would demand a public apology and someone should be fired. But alas it is a pissant union, so they can't be fired.

Once again rush nails it; its the seriousness of the charge, not the veracity of the evidence.

I have to think that everytime this stuff happens and the left tries to dig up dirt, frame this woman or smear this woman and it backfires, that eventually people will start waking from their Obama koolaide haze w/ a nasty hangover and see the TRUTH - this makes them look less credible every passing moment!

As long as the lib-run Anchorage newspaper makes Palin Derangement Syndrome its business model for the next several years- “exonerations” are meaningless- only “accusations” will be cited. Liberals treat “accusations” as a done deal of guilt, when the accused is not to their liking.

If I have one criticism of devout Christians it is that they see the world as good and people as noble beings made in the image of God and ignore the amoral nature of Obama and his merry men and women and refuse to acknowledge that they have to get dirty and meet fire with fire. Yes, Sarah read Machiavelli, Mein Kampf, and Olinsky’s Rules for Radicals if you want to get on top of what Obama is planning to do to destroy you. Hire some good advisors who have also read these books. Please Sarah do this right pronto. We need you to be the best that you can be. Obama must be stopped before it is too late.

Same old double standard of the “unbiased” media.
Negative stuff about Governor Palin gets headlines.
Positive stuff about Governor Palin gets no mention.

Orthodox Christianity ignores nothing of the sort. It does indeed see men as being made in the image of God, but it is an image tarnished by original sin.

"This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." Romans 3:22-24

"Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst." 1 Timothy 1:15

"The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time." Genesis 6:5

Any church that denies the inherent sinfulness of man has denied the faith.

and refuse to acknowledge that they have to get dirty and meet fire with fire.

It is, however, quite true that the Scriptures make it abundantly clear that the ends do not justify the means. This does not necessarily mean that one cannot fight fire with fire, but it is certain that "getting dirty" is not acceptable.

So true. Lots of times I still finding liberals repeating all sorts of lies about Republicans that have long since been debunked. Only they never heard the debunking. In some cases, they KNOW its a lie, but repeat it anyways (a couple of times I ran across the lovenstein institute hoax on liberal blogs. I would helpfully post a comment, along with a link to snopes, showing that it was an urban legend. The liberal owner of the blog would respond to that by deleting my comment and leaving his post intact with no update, no correction to set the record straight)

Don't be sad - be mad! I am OUTRAGED over the treatment of this qualified woman last year, and it's obviously going to continue until they destroy any chance she has at becoming the first woman President of the United States.

Hey, newbie, why don't you try inviting Christ into your heart first, and then, once you have been saved and have a relationship with Him, come on back and tell us how we see the world.

Union officials stressed Monday that they had not gone out of their way to pick a fight over the Johnston case. Executive director John Cyr said Young never intended his e-mail to become political fodder.

"He was shocked when it leaked to the press," Cyr said, "and now I'm cleaning up the mess." Young sent the e-mail to all the union members in the state.

WTF? Young sent the email to all union members in the state and he's SHOCKED it was "leaked" to the press?!

It’s funny. I imagined Alaska to be far removed from the nuttery of he continent. They consider themselves separate and value their independence from the rest of us. I supposed that the Seattle-think would not be found there. It is disappointing to see the moronic nutters there in such abundance. I guess independence doesn’t always equate to intelligence.

In spite of the debunking of this story, the original is still being circulated all around the world. Here are two more instances:
http://www.wsls.com/sls/news/national/article/report_levi_johnston_palins_soon-to-be_son-in-law_quits_job/24192/
and
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/LAC.20090106.WORLDREPORT06-3/TPStory/TPInternational/?page=rss&id=GAM.20090106.WORLDREPORT06-3

I posted a comment at the site of the first report and sent an email to the second. I suggest all FREEPers who are sick and tired of this crap do the same. It’s time to go on offense. It worked with Sarah at CNN and NBC with Ann Coulter. I have seen reports that CNN actually sent an apology to Governor Palin. I hope it’s true and I wish it was done as publicly as the smear they printed against was.

Dud Light salutes a “Real American Hero”

Dud Light presents: Real American Heroes!

[Singers: “Real American Heroes”]

Today we salute you, Mr. Columnist-And-Talk-Show-Host-Palin-Pesterer

[Singers: “Mr. Columnist-And-Talk-Show-Host-Palin-Pesterer”]

Even though you insist that you’re a conservative, your tireless attacks on all things Palin keep liberal Democrats feeing warm and fuzzy inside with self-righteous elitism.

[Singers: “Self-righteous elitism”]

Meticulously, you pile nit upon pick - nit, pick, nit, pick - until, Behold! You’ve made a mighty mountain out of a minor molehill.

[Singers: “No fed requirement for a diploma”]

You showed that teenage dad that he’ll have to find another job to support his family!

[Singers: “That’ll show him... and those Palins”]

You’ve mastered the art of insinuation, insinuating that Gov. Palin intervened to help her future son-in-law get that job.

[Singers: “His dad’s the one who got him the job”]

So crack open an ice cold Dud Light, mister. And sleep well tonight knowing that again, you stuck the Palins in the eye, and you ran you knife through a teenage father to do it!

[Singers: “Mr. Columnist-And-Talk-Show-Host-Palin-Pesterer”]

“Jesus said, ‘Keep it to your damn self!’” Mathhew 6:5-7.

I'm not quite sure what you're getting at. The passage you cited had to do with religious hypocrites praying in public for show. Somehow, I do not think my last post is doing that. Moreover, your paraphrase is a rather loose one. I recommend reading Mark 16:15 and Matthew 28:16-20. The sentiment you are expressing (if I understand you correctly) is contrary to the teachings of Christ.
