Palin attacks media... Is it Sexism? (NO YOU IDIOTS IT'S LIBERALISM)
MSN.com ^ | 01/09/09 | Howard Kurtz

WASHINGTON - Sarah Palin, still smarting over coverage of her vice presidential run, calls the media's reporting on her family "very scary" and says there may be "a class issue" that explains the more sympathetic treatment of Caroline Kennedy.

The Alaska governor also took a swipe at Katie Couric over the CBS interview in which Palin stumbled badly, saying: "Katie, you're not the center of everyone's universe."

I’m not breaking on her like Peggy Noonan believe me...

Oh that's good. I'm trying really hard to believe you.

I just don’t want her being the symbol of the future only to have an embarrassment later.

That's why most of us are here and why this article is being exposed as biased and based on lies, misconception and misconsturments.

Asked by Ziegler how she would have fared as Barack Obama's running mate, Palin accused the press of ideological "hypocrisy," saying: "I think they would have loved me as a candidate. . . . You would have seen an absolutely different and . . . much prettier profile of Sarah Palin and the Palin family and my administration."

Sarah definitely gets it.

On his Web site, Ziegler says that when Palin saw a picture of MSNBC's Keith Olbermann, "she literally let out a shriek and, pointing to his photograph, declared, 'THAT guy is EVIL!' "

Oh my. I love this plain-spoken, unaffected lady. You go, Sarah!

Any honest and serious investigation of the current mess we're in can be traced directly back to liberals and their socialist policies.

And where do you suppose that is going to get printed? Nah, easier to accuse Palin of eating human hearts under a full moon and then citing her refusal to provide proof she doesnt as evidence it's true.

c)This Africa thing is old debunked crap.

Can you imagine what the media would have done if they had her on video saying that or that there were 57 states? I wonder what the media would have done if they had Obama on video claiming we had 57 states. Surely, they would make a big deal about him being flat out stupid and ignorant. Right?

The liberals are scared to death of Palin.

They have reason to be..... she’s not the typical beltway politician.

a. Duh. I get all that...the scar comment is very funny though! Since she was making a joke and repeated the same joke at least 5 times I heard her say it, then she should chuckle, laugh or perhaps say it was a joke rather than repeatedly saying that everyone told her that she looked like Fey so she dressed up like her.

b. TODAY 1/9 AP:”Palin singled out the Couric interview as condescending, particularly a question about what she reads and, according to the governor, “What do you guys do up there?” In fact, Couric never asked that question but did press, unsuccessfully, for the governor to state specific newspapers she read, which Palin never answered fully. (personally, it was condescending and but Palin blew it, let’s be honest).

c. I saw it live when Cameron “broke” it. He said it was reported to him directly but he would not disclose by whom. He was asked about his experience covering the campaign after it was over and was talking about a lot of tension. Maybe Cameron is a liberal with an agenda. I don’t know. I wrote Palin an email that day at the gov’s office in Alaska asking her to stick up for herself. Of course the McCain staff people denied it because they’d be ruined. Everyone went under the rocks when she went to expose them personally for betraying the party...they hid because they cared about their future not necessarily because it wasn’t true. I think they were total cowards, maybe twisted it, but I don’t think it was totally false. I heard SP explaining around it ...to the effect of -”If I said something trying to clarify a question, I may have but I don’t really remember that...”

That’s a great reply, Minn. I hear you, really. I’m not asking her to prove a negative. I’m talking about things I’ve heard her say and honestly that Couric interview scared me about her. I hope she gets better at the whole game and kicks some butt but she needs to get smarter about how to talk to the media. Remember the damn phillysteak dive where she said the college kid’s Pakistan question was “gotcha”...she answered it! OK, what kind of bozos did she have screening her calls when the DJ’s from Canada called? This is ALL a reflection on her.

I’m sorry if this is hard for us to hear but is this not true? I was cheering literally as she spoke at the convention...I really wanted her to be as good as she seemed that night.

I know...but Obama is history...it’s over...the double standard no one cared about will be back!!! Biden was the worst of all but no one cared. SP is a very accomplished woman. An amazing woman. And, she is polarizing like no one else...the media will have a microscope on her and it stinks but that is why she must be completely honest, no more bridge crud, more serious/professional in her words, intelligent and transparent. I don’t care how ‘quick a study’ she is. I want her to be smarter than Katie flippin Couric. If not, she will not be taken seriously by enough people (needed to win). I also don’t need to see her take Alec Baldwin’s ‘jokes’ on SNL. Mishandled indeed.

That is why I’ve been here too. I have been disgusted after the election, our gov. Blago, the economy, the concerns about national security...then I see the thing pop again about SP today saying Couric asked her “what do you guys do up there.” Gosh it wouldn’t be the first AP slanted article but I guess I’m really sick of all the politicians now.

After Paulson said we were going to have a worldwide meltdown if they didn’t urgently get the money for his intended purpose, then he got the money and didn’t use it for that...I don’t believe a single politician right now.

I don’t believe a single politician right now.

They can't be trusted, they need to be watched like little cretins.

I've never taken any of them seriously, and only believe they will do something positive if it benefits them.

a) If you don’t get Palin’s humor... too bad, but not her fault. I never expected her to show up as Fey. Shrugs.

b)Why do you cite the AP as a source? For goodness sake... they are the worst of all biased sources. You apparently didn’t watch the Ziegler interview. Palin DID name specific papers and she did NOT suggest that Couric asked her verbatim “what do you guys do up there?”, but thought that this was the sense of her question. The AP is reporting crap.

c) Whatever my dear. Cameron (who IS a lib with an agenda) giddily citing one anonymous source without proof is apparently good enough for you to believe it to be “true”. It was denied by the involved... so what’s your “proof”? Is it the weight of the “accusation” that matters here? Come on... you don’t really think she doesn’t know what Africa is. Who are you kidding?

a. “She thought it (Fey impersonation) was quite funny, particularly because she once dressed up as Tina Fey for Halloween,” her spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt said.

HANNITY: Has anyone ever said that before? There’s a similarity… PALIN: They’ve been saying that for years up in Alaska. In fact, I dressed up as Tina Fey once for Halloween. We’ve been doing that before Tina Fey’s being doing that.”

Google this...I’m not the only person who didn’t take it as a joke.

b. I watched the segment and understand it was an interpretation of the question. She took it as patronizing, others took it as, “who is this person?” since she was an unknown. It was the first interview she gave (campaign idiots fault). I hate Katie Couric but she’s not the first reporter to have asked a candidate “What do you read?” Maybe because the rest of the interview was going badly SP was defensive. Whatever. The hole is deep enough, they need to put the shovel down. It was a disaster interview (editing included) but she is fully responsible for her answers and interpretation of questions.

c. Honestly,I do not know Cameron is a lib. He is giddy though sometimes, good word for him. How do you know? I’ve watched him for years. Of course it crossed my mind that he was a reporter and how awful the media is, but it was after the campaign and my impression was he did not take it on the record during the campaign. I did not know why he didn’t but I was glad he didn’t. Why wait til it was over? Nothing was at stake. I relied on what Cameron said because I’ve never heard him say anything I’ve found in error. He seemed credible to me because he spoke to the staff face to face nearly every day. I don’t know what SP knows and no one really does. I was glad when she addressed it but was left uneasy with her answer after...she should have immediately said it was ridiculous but she waited and gave a convoluted answer and asked the source to come out instead.

Has Fox retracted it?

Old debunked crap? I’ve searched and can’t find any retraction by Fox or Cameron...help me out if I’ve missed it. There was the Eisenstadt false claim of responsibility as the source which was debunked, but the “veracity of the report is not in question” - FoxNews http://www.foxnews.com/wires/2008Nov12/0,4670,PalinHoax,00.html

I hope it was a lie by someone with an agenda but I will keep digging because I want to be right...even if the truth is not what I want to hear.

I’ve also been searching for any accusations of Cameron being a liberal and all I can find are accusations of him being pro-Bush and showing conservative bias.
