300 sounds like a pretty puny battalion to me too. But you are only counting the dead ones, there are most likely far more injured and out of action.
Wiping out a battalion does not equate to killing them all (although in this case that would be a Good Thing), but just to ending their effectiveness as a unit/formation.

Really, the only solution is to expand the borders of Israel to include Gaza. Anything else is futile in the long run. Really, the only solution is the expulsion of all Muslims from within the borders of Israel. Anything else is futile in the long run, as the White South Africans discovered.
Israel, as such, will cease to exist as a Jewish state once the rapidly-reproducing Muslim population becomes a voting majority.

hamas has roughly 15,000 men in gaza, a few hundred killed won’t wipe it out. Yes, but most of those killed in action were the ones who were actually willing to come out and fight. Any idiot coward can march, chant and shake his fist in the air. It should make a difference all out of proportion to their numbers.
