Cosby hails Obama, Knocks Hannity
Politico ^ | 1/10/09 | Alexander Burns

Posted on 01/11/2009 6:10:39 AM PST by Dr. Scarpetta

Bill Cosby, the entertainer-turned-activist known for his controversial comments on race, told Washington’s WTOP radio station Saturday that Barack and Michelle Obama were examples of the parenting and family values he’s challenged Black America to strengthen.

“Who is Barack Obama and what did he tell us, when he talked about his mother? What was it he was saying when he said his mother woke up, 4:30 in the morning…to correct his homework, to get it done?” Cosby asked rhetorically.

“Let’s listen to Michelle Obama who talks about her father with a disease, but he doesn’t call in work and say, let me call in later. He gets up an hour earlier.”

“There are statements made which tell us, you know, that people make it because they try,” Cosby said.

Cosby brushed back the criticism that his past comments about African-Americans could be taken out of context by critics of the black community – taking a crack at Fox News commentator Sean Hannity in the process.

“I’m not worried about white people. Hannity – I’m not worried what he says, ” Cosby said. “I’m not worried about any racist people who are going to bring it up.”

Cosby stood by his controversial 2004 speech on the 50th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s school-integrating Brown v. Board of Education decision, in which he told the NAACP that stronger parenting and more supportive communities were needed to improve the condition of Black Americans.

“I’m dead serious,” Cosby said. “Our children are being murdered, and they’re murdering each other, and I should not try to say something to wake people up to the fact that our children are not valuing themselves?”

I'm not worried about Hannity either. I never could stand the sound of his voice...to high-pitched and "tinny".

That and the fact that after you've heard one of his radio shows, you've pretty much heard his whole act. The rest of them are only slight variations.

Bill Cosby, who preaches individual responsibility for black folks, just has to back the brother, even if the “zer0 Messiah” goes against his stated principles.

I kind of understand though. the first black president and such. I don't agree, but I do understand as best as a non black can.

Hannity lost me with his Giuliani support during the primaries. He should have waited till after the primaries to make his support for the Republican candidate.

Barcak Obamas “father” was an alley cat who saw him twice. His promiscuous teenage mother move him to Indonesia with step Daddy at age 5 and then dumped him back on her parents to raise when he was 10.
When she was dying in pain of cancer in NYC and he was a “community organizer” in Chicago, he never once visited.
When she flew back to Hawaii to die, and called his sister crying in pain and fear, he never once visited.
She ended up as ashes dumped on rocks beside the sea off a public highway. Then he visited.
He showed the same emotional void with his grandmother.
His paternal grandmother says he was born in Kenya and she was there- so she is under guard and off the visit list too.

Sterling family values.

Cosby's racial bias is clouding his judgement - a trait zerO seems to inspire across the spectrum.

Too bad Mr. Cosby does not recognize that the abortion so vigorously defended by Barry also results in black children being murdered by blacks.

Barack Obama is a celebutard to many based on the fact that he’s black. He’s accomplished nothing politically significant to prove he is a leader other than be a good talker. And look around the country. There are really no strong ethical black Democrat leaders. The vast majority of them are more crooked than Bill Clinton’s pecker.

My opinion is the shine will wear off quickly as people come back to reality that this man is like any other leftist who can’t move the oceans but can do a good job of making mistake after mistake.

And the blagobitch situation will not hurt Obama. He’ll skate on any association with him.

This is Cosby’s “keeping it real” moment. He has to make a positive statement about Obama so his black credentials don’t get questioned by the liberal establishment, while using Hannity as a strawman. This is typical of black elites. They “got theirs,” so they really don’t give a damn about blacks in general other than to pretend they empathize with them and support the very policies that are aiding in their destruction.

zerO has a personal vendetta in store for Hannity, Hannity “talked trash” about him every day during the campaign “I’m gonna tear him up” said the punk. Ha.

Of course zerO never accepted Hannity’s challenge to meet him for an interview, anytime, any place

Hannity better have his personal life especially taxes in order, he’s gonna be on the IRS audit list for the rest of his life

Tawana Brawley, is all I have to say regarding Cosby in his support of an alleged rape of an African American girl in upstate NY. The only race peddler to escape prosecution was the good ole “Rev.” Al Sharpton.

Obama’s mother got up at 4:30 in the morning to correct his homework? I thought she abandoned her son and went off to Indonesia to spread Communism there.

Obama’s father was a drunken, bigamous lout, and his mother couldn’t care less about him. But his Communist grandfather found a drunken black Stalinist pederast to “mentor” him.

Oh, sure, that’s the perfect model for straightening out black families and putting them on the straight & narrow toward success.

Whats with all the Hannity bashing here, what has he done over the years to support the leftist causes, nothing! Bill Cosby deserves zero respect for his arrogance, his personal immoral lifestyle, his complete disrespect when President Bush tried to place the medal around his undeserving neck, he wouldn’t even bend down to have it clipped on, I’ll NEVER forget that look of scorn and hate on Cosby’s mug when he tried to embarrass the President. Jay Nordlinger wrote this about Cosby and Twanna Brawley in 2000:
[in 1987] A girl named Tawana Brawley, after staying away from home for several days, smeared herself with dog feces, scrawled racial epithets on her body, and hopped into a garbage bag. Then she claimed that six white men, including a police officer, had raped and otherwise tormented her. All of America sat up in alarm. Bill Cosby, who was at the height of his fame and popularity, offered a large monetary award for information leading to arrests.
Would Dr. Cosby want to be called a racist on the basis of that? I think it was unwise, but as one act alone, not racist. Yet, here by his scornful, slanderous, remarks we see, yes -- it might have been.

Bill Cosby is, and always will be, a poverty pimp of the lowest class. Add to that list Jesse Jackson, Al Sharton, Andrew Young, Julian Bond, the NAACP, and most other so-called national black leaders. They are, to a man, a disgrace to their race, and a cancer on our society. Other than that, they might be decent fellows! Not!!!
