Blizzards could blight Barack Obama's inauguration

A STEEP temperature drop, a blizzard and a downpour could assail the millions expected to attend Barack Obama's presidential inauguration on January 20, officials said.

"Just given a sunny pleasant 50-degree day, just having that many people around town will be a problem, so any sort of weather issue on top of that is only going to exacerbate that,'' warned Christopher Strong, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

"No matter what happens, we'll be as well prepared as we can be given the enormous potential for crowds.''

Average late January temperatures in Washington fluctuate between minus six and plus four degrees Celsius, while the median temperature sits at about 2.7 degrees Celsius.

I have been praying for this EXACT thing for some time, now. A blizzard for the record books, please?

Well, let’s see in Mexico when they feared some foul play, at the stroke of MIDNIGHT,secretly before a judge, and the cameras Felipe Calderon took his pledge to uphold the Mexican Constitution, and it was all over... Zip Squat and tat.
All the uprising and fear of mobs and crowds had nothing to do but read the papers.

I was hoping there would be some good news for the day. The harder it blows and snows might make me tune in for a few snickers.

Not me, I am hoping for the most beautiful weather anyone would ask for.

I want to see how a large group of his voters interact, kind of like watching an anthill.

That many idiots all shoved together at once is bound to be entertaining for those of us out in the sticks.

The 10 day forecast says 39 and Sunny so there’s still a good chance of bad weather.

It won’t get to 20 in DC this Friday. It will warm up a bit by Sunday, but the next cold front should arrive just in time for the Tuesday Global Warming Celebration. Gratitude to Canada for supplying the cold air and to whoever supplied the postitive PNA weather pattern to send it here.
