Proposition 8 Donor Maps, for San Francisco, Salt Lake City, and Orange County, are now posted at EightMaps.com. Proposition 8, of course, was the proposition that amended the California Constitution to bar legal recognition of same-sex marriage. The map is built -- presumably automatically -- from the data reported by the California Secretary of State's office. (The site I linked to contains the committee id's, but if you click on the committee name, you'll see the individual contributors.) Many of the listed contributions are $50 or below...

Couldn't we respond in kind? How hard would it be to buy a domain name and mix donor information for those who donated against prop 8 with google maps?

I’m sure producing a list of homos that were against Prop 8 would be nice. I’m sure a graphic showing the turnout of black voters would be good. Drawing a correlation between the turnout of black and muslim voters and homos targeting Prop 8 supporters would be good for this graphic as well..... allowing blacks and muslims to know the sissies are posting names and addresses in hopes someone will attack those that supported Prop 8. Do a flier drop of the graphic in Compton.

Notice this map includes the people that donated $50 or less. Why is it that smaller donations are recorded? What law mandates such disclosures? They need to be changed.
The correct response is to publish a list of queer supporters - names and addresses. If it’s a war that they want, then that’s what they should get.
It’s an interesting intellectual exercise to speculate what would now be happening in the press and popular media, not to mention law enforcement, if the referendum had gone the other way and the losers had tried this...

So how do we start. The list is freely available on the Kalifornia SOS site. How would we merge that with google maps like the queers did?
It's a problem if you live in California. If you're not within the boundaries of California, they can't do anything about it.

The Kalifornia SOS site also has lists that can be downloaded in excel. I imagine it would be pretty easy to merge an excel list with google maps.

I can do it. I have a list of names, cities, amounts, and employers for those who opposed the proposition. We can out them and see how they like it.
I think we need to. We can’t let them continue this type of nonsense unopposed. There are a whole lot more normal people than there are deviants. If we post our own list and start boycotting them, they will hurt a whole lot more than we will.
We’d see how fast the lefties would run to the authorities if an organized group of right leaning people “targeted” people who donated to get communists elected.
The guys behind Knowthyneighbor.com also posted everyone’s name and address that signed the petition to get a Marriage Amendment on the ballot in MA for the purpose of confrontation. I reported their names and business address in my column. They called my editor to complain. He laughed.
It works both ways....I just thanked a neighbor for donating. I told him where I saw the info and how they were trying to muzzle people of faith. He was irritated to say the least and mumbled something about doubling his donation for the next round.
