After reading all this, and thinking on it for a while, I would say, if they are looking for Civil War II or American Revolution II, this is the perfect way to get it started.
I cant imagine any fool thinking he wanted to be a cop these days. That badge is going to be the first target to go.

Rep Rush seeks to prevent law abiding white people from owning guns...since it is this group, his designated target group, who are the people which will be mostly affected by his majesty’s unConstitutional law. Other groups, black and mexican gangs, street level drug dealers amongst others, could care less about being compliant with any law. Rep Rush knows this little fact.
The question white people should be asking Rep Rush is if he is a racist. If he is not a racist, then why does he as a black man seek to disarm law abiding white people inspite of our US Constitution which prohibits him from doing so?

The gun grabbers are even more orgasmatic than they were when they passed the AWB in 1994.
i’m emailing this to Rush right now...does anyone now if the NRA has gotten wind of it?? people need to know about this PRONTO...
It isn’t even the first thing they do in the new administration, it is BEFORE the first thing!
What does that say about what is coming down the road if (before) the first thing they do is license and disarm the public?
Last straw...
1958 Vice Principal comes over, looks at Jacks shotgun, goes to his car and gets his shotgun to show Jack.
2008 School goes into lock down, FBI called, Jack hauled off to jail and never sees his truck or gun again. Counselors called in for traumatized students and teachers.
The game is on.
Why all the gloom? This bill will drastically reduce crime in this country. Then we won’t need guns. Dont you all see this?????
The problem with that is, the CONSTITUTION says, that the people have the RIGHT to keep and bear arms. NOT the privilege.
Having the government say that a license is required to own firearms, gives the government full control over who is allowed to have them and who is not. This makes it tyranny and nothing more.
All Americans will be required to get their license and declare their fire arms, registered or not, or face becoming a felon. We all know what the final step will be after this happens. Outright confiscation, because the government will know were all the firearms are. At least those held by law abiding citizens.
Hunting will also be severely controlled or banned outright, using natural population control methods to replace it.
There is some good and some bad coming through the House right now. I read the texts of HR17, HR45, and HR197, and composed the following note to Rep. Defazio (a Dem, but not beyond redemption in the whole sphere of gun rights).:
H.R.17 : To protect the right to obtain firearms for security, and to use firearms in defense...
This is a simple, common sense piece of legislation and I urge you to sign on and actively support it.
H.R.45 : To provide for the implementation of a system of licensing for purchasers of certain firearms and for a record of sale system...
This proposal has so many flaws it would take too much space to describe all of them in a short note, so I'll make a couple broad generalizations:
It places many undue burdens on law abiding citizens that would, as usual, not be endured by criminals, and so it would not likely protect one future Blair Holt. This is not just a cynical position, history bears it out.
Almost every part of it interferes in some way with legitimate state powers and/or individual rights. Where any provision of it could possibly be deemed good and proper, it would be more appropriately addressed through state law.
It would be nearly impossible to make this legislation palatable in any way through amendments.
I urge you to actively oppose it.
H.R.197: National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2009
In general, I am opposed to requirements for permits to carry concealed weapons, even on a shall issue basis. Anyone who legally owns firearms substantially meets the requirements for a permit in most states and oughtn't be burdened with further paperwork and fees. But since some states don't recognize a universal right to carry concealed (as much as I believe it exists), I believe it's in the national interest to have some uniformity in carrying requirements for folks traveling across state lines. This legislation is simple to understand and straightforward as written, and would be a step in the right direction.
I urge you to sign on and actively support this legislation.
I'm looking forward to hearing what you intend to do with regard to these particular bills.
Thank you,

too bad the GOP has decided not even to try fighting O and his dupes. Cardcheck, higher taxes, multi-trillion handouts to friends of O.... nothing can stop them now
