"Excellent and McDaniel was a good boy and voted for Halteman-Harwell? Wow."

Apparently so.

"Oh I read your posts about it the whole legislature together votes for the state offices so the rats are out. Excellent."

MAY be out. After what happened today, I expect chicanery is quite possible tomorrow. I'd literally give the rodent incumbents 50-50 to be retained. Boss Hogg needs just 3 more RINOs.

"How come Ramsey had your moonbat Senator in a chairmanship?"

We had a one-seat majority. He wanted to appear bipartisan. This will be the first time in recent memory that the majority party will hold all Chairmanships in the Senate (early '90s ? Late '80s ? I'd have to scour the Bluebooks to see). We have a 5-seat majority, so we don't owe them squat, and after the House theft, especially so.

"Yes that’s it. Well I’d don’t think I’d be with the 4.71% in voting for a mentally ill murderer. I wonder that they were thinking. Funny if a rat in the say the Bronx committed murder he’d probably still win in a landslide."

More than likely most of those were people that voted early or absentee ballot before the murder. Had he not assassinated Tommy Burks, he'd probably have gotten maybe 25% or so. I remember some media types lampooning the GOP that he'd get 5% without taking that into account (given that most candidates don't tend to assassinate their opponents). Of course, there may have been some kooks that got some kicks voting for a killer. The GOP never much challenged Burks because of his voting record (but never was able to persuade him to switch parties, since our rural areas west of East TN were the last to go Republican downballot, and they're still in the process of moving our way. 10 years from now, most of the rural areas will be solidly in our column, but we're not entirely there, yet).

Thank you for all the info you posted on this thread. Even if it has made me furious.
