National Organizations With Anti-Gun Policies
NRA-ILA ^ | 2/28/08 | Staff

Posted on 01/13/2009 5:14:10 PM PST by epow

The list of businesses, organizations, celebrities, and other notable entities who actively support anti-2nd Amendment gun control laws and policies is far too long to post here. IIRC it has been previously posted, but I thought that in light of the tragic inauguration that will take place on the 20th day of this month unless Almighty God mercifully intervenes, perhaps it would be a good idea to review who and what businesses and orgs want to deny us our Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

If you are interested in knowing who and/or what business or org wants to deny you your constitutional God-given right to keep and bear arms, and is willing to give money and/or other support to anti-gun advocates for terminating that right, just click on the NRA-ILA link under the above title and read through the long list.

The following is only a very small part of that list, and is posted here only to give a very small sampling of who and what is on the list.

AARP

AFL-CIO

Ambulatory Pediatric Association

American Academy of Pediatrics

American Civil Liberties Union

American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing

American Medical Women`s Association

American Medical Student Association

American Medical Association

American Association for the Surgery of Trauma

American Trauma Society

American Federation of Teachers

American Association of School Administrators

American Alliance for Rights and Responsibilities

American Medical Association

American Bar Association

I haven't had Jimmy Dean sausage in at least ten years. One does have to make sacrifices. Sara Lee sells a lot of different brands, including Hilshire Farms as I recall.

(Homeland security is 100,000 rounds of dry ammo and 10 cords of dry firewood.)

You mean I have to reduce my stock by over 70%?

Add Fraternal Order of Police to that list. When I was a member they would call and ask for donations for this or that cause. I’d say get rid of the retards in charge and maybe I’d reconsider.

I tell the ABA the same thing when they call.

Absolutely!

But here's the good news, I'm willing to take the surplus off your hands at no charge if you ship it to me postpaid.

>>”...ammo I’m gonna need a bigger basement and LOTS more moola in the bank.”<<

Ammo is way BETTER than money in the bank! Expand the basement.

Amazing how many of the “actors/directors” have made their fortunes on gun-violence related movies, Stallone, Redford etc.

If Hollywood actors were not hypocritical phonies they would be living on food stamps. Blood, guts, and full-auto gunfire sells theater tickets and rents videos, but if I was a betting man I would bet a ten spot to a fiver that most of the badass gunslingers in those films are liberal anti-gun, tree hugging, touchy-feely, tofu-munching vegans in real life.

The elca.org website is really special. Their pro-abortion stance is evil. Not to mention pro-homosexual “unions” and all that other liberal garbage.

I once emailed that website to ask if I read their long winded and convoluted abortion page correctly, and did they really believe as a “Christian” church, that abortion is an acceptable method of family planning.

The reply was simply for me to re-read the statement page. The cowards would not give me a “yes” or “no”. Which of course loudly proclaims to me, they are in fact OK with abortion as a family planning method. The ELCA is hell bound, in my opionion.

If you go to the complete article, it lists public figures(the other usual suspects) and businesses like Hallmark Cards and Levi Straus, as also being anti-2nd Amendment. The lists are long, so go find your very own former favorites to boycott. Uh, it would have been shorter and easier for The NRA to list actors who are PRO-2nd Amendment.

AARP is gonna get a big NO from me when they come a callin’ someday. They are wrong on everything, and I’ll tell them why I don’t want to join.

The ELCA is hell bound, in my opinion.

AFAIK the Missouri synod is still doctrinally sound, but the Wisconsin synod has gone totally liberal. It would be interesting to know just how much, if any, of the Apostle's Creed the ELCA clergy in general still professes to believe. Of course a profession is not the same as actual belief, and actions speak louder than words. Personally, I can't believe that any true Christian could agree with baby-killers such as the NARAL gang that killing babies in their mother's womb is OK with God.

I don't mean to turn this thread into another abortion debate, I'm just commenting on your mention of the ELCA's position on abortion, which is another hot button issue for me. And in my experience locally I have found that pro-abort activists are usually anti-2nd Amendment as well. IOW it's OK with them to kill an unborn baby as long as you don't kill him or her with a gun.

I was raised Missouri Synod Lutheran. Missouri Synod is the only real Christian Lutheran church left around here. There are only a few Missouri Synod churches here. Some people I know have turned to non-denominational Bible teaching churches that are traditional and conservative, and have all the Christ centered morals that go with it.

How any church can approve of abortion is beyond my understanding. I made the mistake years ago, when I moved to a new home, of joining the nearest Lutheran Church. About 2 years later, a blurb in the bulletin about an ELCA conference where they had “dialoged about gay unions” prompted me to look into the ELCA on the web.

It was only a couple days before I had met with the “pastor” (VW driving liberal), and asked him outright if the ELCA really thought abortion was OK. He said Oh we shouldn’t judge others predicaments or somesuch blather.

I told him I could not support a church associated with the ELCA. He said, oh so little of your offering money goes to the ELCA...I said even one red cent was too much and if I continued in that church I would have blood of innocents on my soul due to the association with the ELCA.

So there I was a young Christian who had innocently assumed all christian churches were actually Christian, and there sat the pastor who was a false teacher of the Word of God.

It took me 2 years to catch on to the ELCA, because nothing bad was ever said from the pulpit or by anyone I met there. If I had not read that bulletin closely I might have stayed there even longer before something told me there was something wrong.

I only checked the ELCA.org website because of that tip off. I was dismayed at the web page on abortion.

Now when I drive by that church I wonder how many of the old folks I sat near, are unaware that the ELCA supports abortion. Many of the elderly have been at that church since way before Roe v. Wade, and they are not computer literate and don’t know the bad things about the ELCA because they are hidden from plain view. I also think as I drive by “that church is dead, and a false church.” I think it’s sad. And I am sorry I was duped. Now I am very wary of any church until I check them out.
