Posted on 01/14/2009 11:05:20 AM PST by Ernest_at_the_Beach
An obligatory link on a day when shes ripping pathetic smearmongering bloggers in the pages of Esquire and the Trig Truther-in-chief is poised to win Best Blog. She serves:
[I]s your paper really still pursuing the sensational lie that I am not Trigs mother? Is it true you have a reporter still bothering my state office, my very busy doctor (whos already set the record straight for you), and the school district, in pursuit of your ridiculous conspiracy?
Come on Mr. Doyle and Mr. Dougherty, I so desperately want to have even a tiny bit of faith in the ADN.
And the ADN volleys:
You may have been too busy with the campaign to notice, but the Daily News has, from the beginning, dismissed the conspiracy theories about Trigs birth as nonsense. I dont believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup about your maternity. In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the coverup. I have personally received more than a 100 emails accusing me and the paper of conspiring to hide the truth
If thats true, then why has [an ADN reporter] been asking questions about Trigs birth?

What’s going on with this Trig issue? Are they sinking lower and making fun of him.
They better not mess with Sarah.
WE will bite back.
Absolutely! I'll spend a few bucks to subscribe to their paper just so I can cancel my subscription with a nasty-gram!
I hope Sarah and every right minded conservative fights this. If these bloggers win, there will be no end to the lies they spread that will become ‘truth’ to the MSM. It will be Fahrenheit 451 for real.
The ADN is the premier liberal rag of Alaska.
My thoughts. Just what is wrong with people anyway?
I want someone to explain to me how Andrew Sullivan has managed to avoid being reduced to a total outcast over the Trig business.
Peter Berg is a crackpot and a weirdo, Andrew Sullivan gets to have dinner with the President Select.
Someone needs to call Obama out on this. Isn’t he rewarding Sullivan for slandering Sarah?
“WE will bite back.”
I like your “WE”.
Too often, surrounded by the soft boy, ball-less foofs currently infesting the Republican party, it seems that Governor Palin is going it alone.
Courageous as she and her family are, that is a damn shame.
I don’t really know what the grass roots can do to support her, and hit back HARD at her attack dogs, but she needs to know she has the support of tens of millions.
Did I mention I like your “WE”? I’m gonna take your “WE” to the big dance Saturday night, and ask it to be my steady.
Liberalism is a mental disorder.
I’d say either the owners of ADN are liars, or they don’t know whats going on in their own newspaper.
Smart money is on option one (liars).
Remember how the leftwingnuts went insane over ‘leave Chelsea alone’?
The hypocrisy is staggering.
The money quote.
These lefties are pitful.
No matter. I am now persuaded that the Trig conspiracy theory, just like the Obama birth certificate conspiracy theory, will go on as long as the obsessive-compulsives of the left and right are able to type.
Reading this, I’m thinking it is a bit petty, all of it. Including Palin’s need to respond.
I understand her wanting to defend her child, and being outraged over such absurd claims and insults.
You all have to understand why the media and the left will NOT let this story go about Trig being Sarah’s son, and why they will never let it go. The majority of leftists are pro-choice, and they can’t believe, in fact, refuse to believe that a woman who KNEW her baby would be born with down syndrome did not abort her baby. That is what this all comes down to, most down syndrome babies are aborted, Sarah CHOSE to keep her baby, and the left are shocked “What, she didn’t kill it, what nerve!” If she had an abortion they would have built a statue in her honor, since she did not, and is proud of her son just the way he is, they are outraged
In normal times Ii would agree ....but we seem to not be in normal times...
“In normal times Ii would agree ....but we seem to not be in normal times...”
LOL...yes, you are correct.
I would agree on other issues but not when it comes to children - that’s just wrong!
